Just got a cracking quote for all 5 flights:

London - San Francisco San Francisco - Palm Springs Palm Springs - Chicago Chicago - New York New York - London

for a tax-inclusive fee of £660. £718 for direct flights.

Expedia.co.uk - hate to think what the hotel and beer tab will be though, let alone the tickets!

Well, although I'm quite sure the flight are cheaper from NYC.
