From Johnny Giles:

New Order will be accompanied by their long-term collaborator, legendary producer and DJ, Arthur Baker, on their upcoming US tour.

Baker will DJ between the support slot and New Order at their upcoming Oakland, Chicago and NYC shows and will also be at the Coachella Festival.

After starring at the Easter weekend Happy Mondays reunion gigs at London's Brixton Academy, Baker commented on how he helped spark Hooky's interest in DJing, "Barney and Hooky DJ'd at my Return To New York event in London back in February 2003. Barney chose and played the whole set, they are competitive and it left Hooky thinking, 'I could do better than that !'".

Baker also revealed plans for him and Hooky to DJ together at this years Glastonbury Festival.

Last week, Baker opened a new American styled bar-restuarant, 'Harlem', within minutes walk of the Brixton Academy. Situated opposite the Ritzy cinema, Harlem has a cool vibe in keeping with a guy like Baker and is well worth checking out for either a pre-gig NY steak or after show come-down drinks. This venue compliments Baker's other diner on the Westbourne Grove, West London.

Nic, it's still unsure about more US dates right?  No one has told you that New Order WILL NOT be doing more dates, correct?  It's still up in the air?

Although we never know, all I heard is what we got yet, so far there are no plans to do any other dates...

It's up to you to risk it and hope they will come back in 2006, but I don't think they will do any other dates in 2005 as they seems to have UK plans for the rest of May, which is still unannounced but if you read clearly a lot of people over here, it seems likely.

The brits already booked their flights and they didn't book any other dates, it also gives you a pretty good picture of what's going on there.
