Last date of the 2005 tour, no more dates will be added apparently.

I can now announce this one, some people on here knew about it in the last days, but since it's announced on the other site, I guess it gives us clearance to post about it now...

Is that Tim's stag ?

Return flights from the UK are £600 for this one, and everything in Japan is expensive so I'm extremely doubtful for this.

That's the 100% record down the tubes.

Didnt they play an unusually long set of about 24 tracks last time....? Ok so its unlikely we will get any *new* tracks but perhaps we will get a longer set that the european dates.

Nope, same set as Liverpool with a couple of tracks moved around.

Yea seems like a fantastic idea, 32 hours travelling for a 1 hour odd set which I will have heard a ten minute bus ride away in Hyde Park ;)

This was our hope almanso but alas it may not now eventuate.

The festival they would've considered is the mid-winter Splendour in the Grass Festival over July 22-23. It's getting a good name: Queens of the Stone Age, Interpol and Bloc Party are headlining this year and NO would've fit the bill quite nicely. But it seems like they're still in EU at this time and Japan right after.

Tour hopes going down under.

Chrift almighties.

I was hoping to take a shoestring trip to Japan this summer and I can pull this off as well then i'm quite damn sure that it would fill all the required criteria for Best Vacation Ever.

Well, the management said they would do it, but then again, Hooky said they would do V Festival.

So I'd wait for an official confirmation if I were you...

I have heard this is just about the most expensive festival on earth.

Did anyone go in 2002?

The Vikings were there... I could dig up the old threads about it.

We seriously need a search engine...

Actually, none of us went to the Fuji gig in 2001 but there is one lad, Colin, going this year.

I looked into Fuji 2001, it was the a couple of days before the Area:One gigs, but it would have added another 750 GBP onto the flight costs alone so thought better of it.

Thought about it this time as well, would love to go to Japan some day. But when it became clear that the set was pretty much the same as the Get Ready tour, coupled with the cost of doing it, gave it a wide one.
