OK guys, we re all set here, just booked air tickets and a bed & breakfast room in Dublin, so it cant be more official than that: The 3 Greeks, we are goin to be there, from the 7th to the 12th of July (we thought it was a good chance to have a small vacation apart from going to the festival) :) .
So, who else is goin to be there? We know we re gonna be quite a few, but i thought it was about time to have an oxegen thread again here and talk about that and the details ;) .
You'll miss the Digital gig in London on the 8th then!
I shall be coming over for the Sunday only, flying back on the Monday.

Somebody bring an acoustic guitar with them. There's gonna be a live Digital/half of Nemesis set! Not that I have asked Sophia yet, but I am up for some light entertainment with a selection of independent classics from down the years. And half the new NO album!

I'll be there. I still have to purchace a ticket, and most likely won't get a chance to for another couple of weeks.
Hopefully there will be more "Technique" and less "Run Wild" on the setlist by that stage too.
Ill most probably get a Sunday Only ticket. Doves and the Super Furry Animals are playing that day too, so it should be a good one. Also, did you notice that Jacques Lu Cont is playing the dance tent that night too? I'm sure Hooky will be over there to see him

BTW, i ve just noticed the voting results on whats the band ppl would most like to see play in the festival and im must say im surprised (if not terrified) - but then maybe i may have missed episodes on development of "alternative" music popularity. More than 70% percent would never listen to the music i play at retroforward - and i thought i was playing popular stuff

I'm definatly going-only plan to watch three bands on the main stage though-New Order obviously, James Brown and Ian Brown. Then I'll stagger round looking for the smaller stages-why go to a festival to watch the bands you already know and don't really like? Don't get it. Oh well. Everyone camping like? I've to drag one of my mates to NewOrder alright like-he's big into his rap and dance so I've started off by giving him a Verve and Stone Roses Cd. I'll have him converted in NO time. Can't fuckin' wait for Oxegen.
