New Order live @ Jimmy Kimmel Late Night Show

New Order perform two songs on the show. Krafty and Love Will Tear Us Apart. Thought I let everyone know if you are interested. They sound great on the show.

First of all thanks neworderonline for giving me the heads up on this, according to the show there was 219,000 people trying to get in, and maybe 100 people actually got in including me !!!

Anyone else who was there correct me if im wrong im just still so high about the show........

I thought that WFTSC (the first time) came before Crystal, but could be wrong about that.

The comedian/warm-up guy was the source of the information about 219,000 requesting tickets. I think he was stretching the truth just a bit.

I didn't realize that this was their first performance in almost 3 years.

they were outstanding. the room where they played is divided up into two sections. i was lucky enough to be in the front section. Hooky, always the showman, left the stage at one point and walked over to the crowd in the back section so they could get a closer look at his infamous low-bass style.

Thats awesome! I cant believe you guys were in there, I guess I just watched a taped show, they just finished playing love will tear us apart and the show ended before the song was over!

What you gonna do, right? I am glad I got to see it though...the people at the show were going crazy for them...it seemed electric! Wish I was there!!

I only saw them play krafty last night and then show ended...:( (as far as I know..I went to bed pretty quick but it seemed pretty definite that it was over) ~Victoria

I too was fortunate enough to get in last night even after the Fire Marshall showed up and said they weren't allowing any more people in. Luckily for me, we had green room passes and eventually got let in.

To start the night off, I got to meet Tim Burgess. That in itself is exciting being that I've loved the man for years now. He said they are working on getting together to record a new album. He is based in LA full time now and his wife was kind enough to take a picture of us.

Then came New Order's set. It was amazing. I was so happy they chose to keep playing even after the taping was over but I suspected they would considering other bands had done similar things before.

The best part of the night came afterwards when we found ourselves in their dressing room right in front on Barney. After waiting for Tim and his wife to finish talking, we went right up and said thanks for the performance. He asked us our names and I had to be the fan that tells him that they truly are my favorite band of all time. We had a good 10 minute conversation before management pulled him away to do something else. He was nice enough to say goodbye and thanked us for coming.

I cannot wait for Oakland and Coachella. If you guys are seeing them at all in the US, you are in for a treat. They seem really into playing the new stuff and ready for tour.

THE SHOW WAS GREAT OTHER THAN THE SUPPOSED FANS WHO GOT THERE LATE AND CUTTED IN LINE. JOHNNY COME LATELYS TRYING TO BE DIFFERENT LOOKING JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER WANNA BE. HOOKY WAS THE COOLEST!!

I didn't have tickets because I found out late (not online much anymore) but when I got there I got 2 tickets. After waiting in line for over an hour and a half I couldn't get in because my "little sister" was under 18... DAMN IT!

I did hear them warm up though... better than nothing I guess.

All I saw as what was on TV, but I was sorely disappointed in Kimmel's introduction... *sigh* Very envious of those who attended.

Interesting Patch, not sure who made the comment about the audience not understanding the significance of Joy Division and LWTUA, but whomever that is has no idea what they are talking about. The entire audience was there for New Order. They played seven songs. The band was great. Jimmy Kimmel is producing a show for the masses, but his show is by far musically superior than any of the other late-nighters.
