Weather for Friday...typical

So all week in London we're forecast to have hot, sunny weather...until Friday that is Thunder showers will hit us according to the BBC

Not sure the BBC are quite clued up here:

"London Bridge", "London City", "London Gatwick", and "London Heathrow" are all quoted as "sunny intervals" for Friday. "London Luton" has "light rain". "London Stanstead" has "light showers". "London" has "heavy rain shower"

Guess which one applies to Hyde Park!

On a serious note, if there is lightning, lie down and for fucks sake do not shelter under a tree.

indeed flipping typical its been really hot in Manchester this week too, if it is thunder and lightening do you think it will be canceled?

This is the first time I would have seen New Order as a band perform, but if its thunder and lightening it would be dangerous especialy for NO, so it might be canceled. I have the hotel, train and everything booked too

Of course, the place in London where you are most likely to be struck by lightning is...........Hyde Park

I heard the thunder accompanying that lightning strike I mentioned earlier, I felt the static, that's how close it was.

Do you reckon it will be canceled then if its thunder/lightening? I mean we cannot have New Order dying on us 25 years after Ian Curtis, that would be freaky.

BBC site is now predicting thunder for today, and just cloud for Friday.

The BBC have now changed their minds and its tomorrow :(

always difficult to say where exactly the thunder will hit. We got promised it last week down south, and nothing happened.

Latest reports suggest we may well miss the worst of it down here, and it's heading back up norf again. Lets hope so...

Sky also have it as just cloudy for Friday

on wimbledon coverage they just said thunder showers clearing by evening! Dont think anyone knows what it will be like! one channel is gonna say it will snow next! we have had every other type of weather predicted so far!

I think we will have to expect it to rain, I am sure Barney has been made sure he will take the Manchester weather with him, though it has been the like Barcelona in Manchester in the last few weeks, so lovely and hot.

I a bit of clouds and the odd light rain will be nice as it will be so fefreshing, its just if we get the terrential rain and thunder/lightening we are doomed.

I am coming down from Manchester so if the whole thing gets canceled I have a lost a lot of money, train tickets, hotels etc.

Though no matter what I cam coming down to London and will hope for the best.

I am hoping the thunder will be more tonight so by the evening it will just be cloudy.

The thunder is clearly heading to the UK, I have been following this the last couple of days and its now in France heading towards the UK

Weather.co.uk are also saying the storms will be in the evening, the Met office saying the morning.
