I saw this on the Reader. I'm excited, especially since I missed him his first time around.
For anyone that went last time, how was Hooky?? Was he friendly or stand offish?? Did he come out and shake hands with fans or was he in a pissy mood?

My cousin just awoke me up from a deep sleep that Peter Hook is coming back to Smart Bar in Chicago, Illinois!!! I can't wait!!http://www.ticketmaster.com/artist/985072

Ok Chicago people, we need to hype this gig up won’t be canceled. Last time was awesome. Hook sign servel autographs and shook servel hands, also a good opportunity to take some pics of him. The Smartbar is somewhat small, but a very good enough place to get close to him. Last time Phil was also there prior to the concert in Chicago. My cousin bought 5 tickets, we might end up getting more. Tickets are going for sale 10 bucks each, + tax and fee processing charges...... Here we go again!!!!!!! Hurry before they sell out!!!!!!

Awesome for who? :evil4:

People kept staring at the booth and nobody was dancing.

Well, it was indeed enjoyable, but I only met peter the next day actually, at the SmartBar I met their managers.

Does anyone know, how would hook react if he were to be asked to play track on his DJ gig????

I wouldn't mind asking him to spin Blue Monday Plutone Mix.

I don't reccommend hyping this up too much..., 100+ people including myself couldn't get into his DJ set a few months ago in Chicago. I took extreme measures and flew to NYC 2 days later to see New Order and later that evening DJ Hooky perform. It ROCKED.....

really? wow. smart bar is small but it wasn't packed. maybe we got there early but some friends came a lot later between 12 & 1 am i think, and they had no problem. just buy tickets before the night so they'll let you in right away :)

hey everyone...

Smart Bar's capacity is 400 people...there was more than enough space last time for more people. You can get tickets at the Metro Store (the Metro / Smart Bar box office at 3728 N Clark St in CHicago) with no Ticketmaster service fee's.....or at www.ticketmaster.com.

Hooky was fanatstic last time so we're expecting nothing less this time.

any questions about this show or the madison/milwaukee shows that we're promoting, e-mail me @ brad@smartbarchicago.com

Brad,

I've been talking with James Amato from the Mantra Lounge and prepaid for 20 spots in the DJ VIP, I just wanted to thank you for any part you may have had to make this happen. Now I'm also able to extend this opportunity to 15 dihard NO/Peter Hook Dj'n fans.. Thanks, Brian

SEE BELOW...

I have secured 20 tickets for the DJ set in Milwaukee,WI at the Mantra Lounge (http://www.mantralounge.net) The 20 spots that I prepaid for are for the DJ VIP area. Any and all that would like to be on the VIP list only would need to pay the face value for the event ($10.00) The DJ VIP area holds 20 people. I already have 5 people spoken for; friends and myself included. 15 spots are still open for all the dedicated and loyal fans of NO and Peter Hooks DJ'n. If interested in being on the VIP list for this event email me at brian.janis@harley-davidson.com.

it was like being at a new order concert only the lyrics were not forgotten ;)

good time tonight. got there late and had to leave during age of consent because we have to work in the morning.

fun, loud, and not as many gawkers standing in front of the dj booth.

best songs: killers "all these things i've done" (remix) does anyone know the name of this remix? : new orders "blue monday" I would also love to know the name of the version he plays.

best moment: hooky playing moby's version of temptation, realized it sucked, it cleared the dance floor and then he faded it out after about a minute and played age of consent bringing ppl back to the dance floor :)

ps - did jesse de la pena spin before or after peter? either way i missed it and regret doing so. for other chicago area ppl, he's awesome and you need to go to one of his events @ dark room.

the killers remix he played was his own 'peter hook remix'. someone (sorry, i'll give proper props to you laterz) posted the link to download just earlier today. if you need, i can send it to you via email. the blue monday version i was also a little unsure of. hooky used moby's temptation to close his set. i will be posting pics c/o bernadette miranda in a couple of days. . . check out her site http://ph0t0graf33.smugmug.com i sleep now!!!
