New Order tonight!!! 20 minutes of heaven

It was worth it even if it was only 20 minutes. Pure Joy Division set, I am no good with set lists or running order, but my memory is of Transmission Shadow Play She's Lost Control LWTUA Atmosphere Encore - Warsaw

The stage was about a foot high and we all charged down there for a stunning view.

Other highlights - Hooky's yellow/beige snake skin shoes, Bernard wearing one of Al's Viking badges . Bernard saying something like 'What's all the excitement about, anyone would think I was Madonna'. Wolfram's torso laid next to the autocue on the stage and being pushed back by Sarge (or whatever that big bloke is called!)

Looked like Gillian's sister was lurking at the back of the stage.

Shadowplay and Warsaw??!!!.

set list is accurate, but it seeemed like a blur - little else I can confirm at present.

Well I know many,if not all, will disagree with me but if you weren't down the front, it wasn't worth being there. No one from Row G back moved. At all. Bar Vinny at my shoulder. Occasionally. I was extremely disappointed despite an all Joy Division set. I could see quite a few people from NOOL enjoying themselves but in my opinion it was a waste of time. No one stirred at all in the upper stalls and I should have saved my money. I wasn't moved at all. New Order are not all they are cracked up to be when you are halfway away from the front of the stage. No matter what anyone says. Way too conservative a venue. I wonder what Peely would have thought of it all. Probably chuffed that these bands would do this in his honour. But possibly wished they had done something better somewhere else.

However it was good to meet up with some of the NOOLs beforehand.

After all the chat about this, I think it's only right that Ness's thread should be top of the list again for having the best title.
