Mate, I tried gettng back to Euston after one of the Brixton shows in 2001. Spent the night kicking my heels in the freezing bloody cold after missing the train by about 2 minutes.

Good luck!

I crashed for the night on Euston after Wembley Arena 87, but you can't even do that now. They close it completely don;t they?.Hope i make it to the last train:skeptic:

the same thing happened to us when we were up in Manc for the Cure, 2004. We crashed at the new floors of Piccadilly St. Was nice n cold.

:uhoh:

btw, if you've got no one in London, you're more than welcome to stay over at our place. (NO EROTIC CABARET!) This refers to EVERYONE who'd like to continue the (sleepless) Manc night in London!

Lucky guys over there. I wish they'd come back over here. Haven't seen them since the Regret tour:cry:

Bloody hell. You've got to check on here everyday, ain't you! Two days off work, away from the net and they announce another gig!

Thankfully just got the home net connection fixed. Was chuffed that NTL did that for free, and then the first thing I have to do is fork £43 over to TicketbastardMaster. :\ohwell:

See you in Brixton, Boys and Girls :beer2:

Nice one Jim.

It was like a silver lining when our lass phoned us and asked what i was up to on the 10th. I nearly leapt 10 ft in the air. Not able to make Manc, so this was a god send. The boys must have been listening to my prayers.

Amen

I don't think there is such a thing as a cheap hotel in London.I live in Bournemouth and the hotels here are around £50 per night. So I guess London is around £70+ I will say though that it will be worth you coming over because they are Brilliant live.:thumb:

Yup. I paid the same. Cheap as chips. And I did just wet myself

Haha!!!

Don't want to sound like a northerner, but £40+ is taking the piss isn't it? Especially as it'll be the same set doing the rounds this summer.

Just need to get the day off now...

Not at all. It was excitement, not the cost of the tickets. My first NO gig too

I got a standing ticket for Brixton. Cheers to Liam for the text the other day letting me know about this one

I'm glad this gig came up because I can't do Manchester on the 14th anymore. I'm gutted but definitely can't get the time off work that day, much as i've tried.

I'll just have to make the most of the 10th

There are a few B&Bs around London where you can get a room for £40 - £50 a night. Do a search and try phoning in advance - you might get something in the suburbs cheaper.

I just paid £50 a night for a double room in Manchester and that was the cheapest I could find, so not really that much difference.

I've shopped around a bit and can get a penthouse apartment for £85! - ended up in a very run of the mill box in London that was £100! Great deals in Manchester at the moment - take an hour or so to have a look - Virgin trains website have some great offers - they're offering rooms at half the price the actual hotels are!!!! I am going in style this time! Albeit for 1 hour prior, few hours sleep, and 1 hour after waking up -.... sod it! Company credit card anyway.

Hi everybody!

Coming over from Ireland for the gig. Was just wondering if anybody knows of any hostels around the Brixton area? I've done a google search, and unfortunately accommodation seems to be very erm....unavailable in that part of London. Don't want to have to travel too far back to hotel/hostel at the end of the night (which is what usually happens!)

Any news on support act for this gig yet? Who played support for Manchester gig?

I'm all questions! :)

Try looking on http://www.hostelbookers.com/ they have a place in victoria which is only a short tube ride away.

Cheers. I'll check it out. I have no idea of the geography of London town at all. Last time I was there (for a New Order gig!), I ended up staying miles away from where it was on...

Brixton & Victoria are both on the same tube line - the 'light blue' one. So, as long as the trains are running (usually 'til 1am) you'll be able to get to Victoria from Brixton :thumb:

I didn't...unfortunately they played on friday, and i only got saturday/sunday off. Just no chance to arrive on time.

So, this is really good news!!! I couldn't get tickets for Manc, sold out came too soon, and i was beginning to think that NO and I didn't fit, or sth like that.

It's good to be back at NOOL too, after too many months without time to log in.
