  1. First proper gigs in ages has mobilised the masses. Check out the number of first posters recently...welcome brothers. Get in there. Time to mobilise what was previously (apart from those legendary Vikings...hats off) a fractioned New Order support into a great mass of NUUUU OOORRDAAHHHH. How the fuck will we recognise each other?. For a start, get yer fookin pics on this site. I'll start. There must be about 20 people on these threads I'd love to meet but I wouldnt know you if you pissed in my shoe.

  2. NOOL DAY. Once a year, every year, we all descend on an unsuspecting city and rock 'n roll. Maybe the boys from Digital & Re:Order could set up a gig. And maybe us footy types could start the day with a 5-a-side comp. Northern Order vs Southern Order. I'm only saying that coz I banged in 10 tonight, so Northern Order would shite on those soft twats (up for the Challange poofters?)

  3. Did I say 2?, ah well, my third point is that I'm shitfaced.

NUUUUUUUUUU OOOORRRRRRDDAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH

Actually, it's fookin great we lost. Ask any proper football fan and there is nothing better we like than a right good moan. Clenses the system.

Just like the '80's for me now. United are shit, New Order are touring...happy days.

I couldn't have put it better myself.....now if only I had enough hair left to grow a 'wedge' again, life would be perfect!

I think thats a great idea - have the 1st nool day in Dublin & I'll come out of retirement to ref the match:read: :shades: 'ref too shitfaced to see the ball' - nothing unusual there:rofl:

Damn right.. United have been papering over the cracks for too long now...

Still ya can always rely on NewOrder to cheer us up! :thumb:

Aye, but what you gonna do when New Order are doing bugger all and United are in mid table mediocrity, fighting Charlton Athletic for a place in the inter toto cup?

Its just occured to me that the top team in manchester at the moment is Wigan Athletic. Scary.

Like the idea of an annnual NOOL day! Would in be in Manchester or would everyone argue about location?

Warren from Re:Order already came up with that idea so you might be onto something.

How was the hangover?

A different location every year? I'll go anywhere. To be honest I'd rather travel somwhere than it be in manchester anyway, it's more fun.

hangover was a belter

An annual NOOL days sounds like a great idea. We could get us, Re: Order, Flight and any other NOOL bands to play, plus DJ sets from those who like to spin rather than strum. Maybe even sell tickets in advance and try and get Hooky to do a DJ set!

Venue could change every year, we don't want it to be always Manchester or London.

What do you all think?

Several people said that to me in the Audley - something along the lines of "we should all get together like this more often, but without bloody New order getting in the way!!!"

I think it's a great idea. Like most people, I'm actually looking forward to the pre-/post-gig socializing as much (if not more) than the supposed main event in Manc/Brixton!

I don't want it to be always Manchester or London either.

Can it just be London or, um, London.

Yeah !!! Brill idea and you are right to have it sometimes away from Manc and the Smoke ?I think that it will attract a whole lot of people just as long as they get the one or two months notice as i am sure they will. :)

I'm in London at the moment, but I think it would be fair to perhaps hold the first one somewhere in the Midlands - easier for everyone, even our Scottish friends (and there are lots) Seems unfair to make the majority travel to London, though I must admit, it would be easier for me!

Plus, hiring any venue and getting digs in London would be much more expensive - also there are very few good ales (apart from the Fullers ones) and the prices are rather high...

Hold it in Stoke. As Bill Hicks said when he played here in 1992, "everything's so cheap - especially the hookers".

I agree with this. Midlands seems a fair place, even moreso when you consider they didnt get any gigs this year.

Yeah, As long as we dont have to stay at the Astoria Hotel opposite the station. Good bars and cheap booze though.
