I want honest answers to this, please: is anyone else going to wear shorts tomorrow regardless of weather and/or climate?

Given that ACR are playing in Manc I think it's got to be done. And as for Ally Pally.....no shorts? Yer not coming in.

You know it makes sense.

 Steve, they do fake tan, now you know. You can leave the Bisto at home...

I'd rather wear bisto than "moron dressing" or "simulated radiation burns" :)

Why the hell anyone would spend money to look like they're auditioning for skin cancer I dunno :)

Besides, if it's the ACR vibe we're going for, the fake tan of the day was almost certainly no better than a spot of bisto :)

I know, some women I know are permanently orange due to their obsession with fake tan (well and truly tangoed!)

Me, I would rather be pale and um, interesting

my mancunian mate says it's virtually mandatory for women to be orange oop there. not sure if it's fake tan or rust, though

but but but...

tomorrow is Brixton, and ACR aint playing.

You are gonna get some funny looks from the Brixton Yardies out there.

Nothing wrong with self expression i suppose.

Tonight in Sarfffff London it has been the coldest night of the year so far, by some way; the gritters are out.

You are braver men than me; mind you, i always bump into someone i know on the train home.

...and have you SEEN the forecast for tomorrow???? It is going to chuck it down.

"sorry about the rain, we must have brought it down from manchester with us"

Rain is an irrelevance, as is looking like a twat (so long as there's other people who look as much like a twat as me).

If it rains, then the Bisto will run. If we got hungry, we could lick yer legs. Yorkshire pudding anyone?

Licked to death by vikings

Sounds like a Zappa album.

I worry about those from southern latitudes and their fear of rain, although i'm told it stems from the fact that below Birmingham, it occasionally STOPS raining!!!!!!!! ( I mean "south of" as opposed to us all huddling under Brum like a brolly)

Only worse lot are NI political rioters..."this is my heartfelt cause, and the cause of my fathers and my father's fathers, it's in our blood, we'd sooner die than give in to $OPPOSING_SIDE, the streets will run red with blood first and.....aw fuck it's raining, let's go home lads" Always leaves me thinking...thank fuck yer great granda's were made of tougher stuff, or they'd all have fucked off outta the somme, and we'd al be speaking German, listeningto David Hasslehedge, and deluded into thinking Michael Schumacher's an Ok kinda guy.

my particular fear of rain comes from spending my formative years in wales where it even rains between the showers! almost as wet as NI...

I'm TOLD that Cumbria is the wetest place in the UK ( europe too probably). I've come to the conclusion that this must be because rain bound for NI goes into a holding pattern there while our weather does it's patent "4 seasons in 4 minutes, and often simultaneously" trick.

I think you just learn that outdoor events = semi-drowning.

If fake tan is available in JB's on Monday, I'll blag some, but I refuse point blank to purchase any :)

I should cut a pretty dashing figure in shorts, since I'll be wearing an oversized knee length coat. Gonna look like a feckin flasher.

Well? WELL? knobbly knee reports from Brixton? (i know acr weren't supporting, but thought that had been decided to be no excuse)

No reports of mass panic in Londinium last night so I assume you all failed miserably.

Yes, I rather suspect tyat in addition to shorts, you may find yourself wearing some other apparel for that one.

For example, a large roughly conical hat emblazened with a gold encrusted "D". Only thing is, you might get lifted by the bouncers for scooping Bernard's hat.
