In that case I hope Diggy will be there, cos I won't! I'll sell my ticket at the door - at a loss if necessary...

Can't see it myself, but you just never know with NO.

Unless that means they are only getting 20 minutes!

I'm in two minds.I would have liked a mixed set,but on the other hand, this is a gig which highlights a lot of stuff during the evening we may not see for a long while,3 Smiths,808 and MC Tunes again,Freebass....an all JD set?

It's true Manchesteronline has an interview with Andy Rourke and it says New Order are headlining with a Joy Division set,it also say's its an gonna be an annual event and you can buy a DVD of the show afterwards.

As in the words of the big guy on Coro Street - I say I say ......New Order are New order now yes? Not JD. So, it's not unreasonable to expect NO songs? As I have also said, I was never a JD fan, so I will be well p'd off if you're right! Barney for one can't sing them........ bring on the NO songs he can, that I for one.....love! I am sure I'm not the only one who has gone out on alimb here to see NEW ORDER.......... so, I hope you are totally wrong.....if they are gonna do this they should revert to calling themselves JD then! Miss Annoyed from Middle England.:(

I agree for a group with a vast amount of song's I wish they would just play NEW ORDER songs. But I suppose its trendy to like Joy Division at the moment hence...

god, hope not all JD.if they want to go back in time again then i'd rather they do a set of early new order stuff. temptation, egg, face up,aoc etc

dont give a shit myself. I'm planning on being too pissed to give a fook.

Plus, these days, they do the JD songs much better than the NO ones!

I know what yer mean, it is false advertising - Billed as New Order and playing Joy Division tracks, Barney's voice can't do the song's justice .

We could just stay in the pub

Lazy B's - we will never hear classics like TPK or AOC ever again with this mentality! Nothing wrong with JD peppered through the set...but no No is scandalous!

Well maybe we will get a token "New Order" song...Ceremony (then it it wouldnt be so bad)?

I know what yer mean, they would need to program the words into auto cue first :evil4:

They can fit more Joy Division songs into 20mins than they could New Order songs!

Still a shit idea though. Worked once, don't expect to have to see it again.

An all JD set was surprising if not totally unexpected at QEH for John Peel Day. As good and unique as it was to hear Shadowplay and Warsaw aired that night, it's when they start wheeling these songs out with subsequent regularity that kind of tarnishes the memory for me.

How long was QEH? 20mins'ish?!

They're only doing 20mins at MEN anyways.

Shouldnt you be in bed recovering?

I was told 30 mins, then some kind of grand finale.

20mins, from the man who knows.

Would not fancy 30mins of purely Joy Division.

EDIT: Just spoke to ATR who's spoken to YouKnowWho more recently than I did. Fcuk, I really do NOT fancy 30mins of JD! (Unless they include Ceremony in there as a bonus!)
