Manchester Beer - DRY DOESN'T OPEN UNTIL 5pm!!!

Uncle Liam has just been in Dry (they're busy tonight) and found out that it does open tomorrow, but not until 5pm.

Had we better revert to Joshua Brookes, then move to Dry from there?

DRY DOESN'T OPEN.......PERIOD! Not to NOOLers anyway.We're outside at 5.30 and all we could get out of the bouncers was"Not open yet" when will it open? "Don't know" will it open at 6 "might do......might not" So me,Banshee,Theresa,Desmond Tierney,and Wixey went to BAR FRINGE for some quality ales,and top jukebox featuring the delights of MONACO,NO,CURE and The CLASH

I couldnt even find the place. Went up and down the road and couldnt find one bar saying Dry. Ended up going to the Late Lounge at about 5ish...strange mixture of students, meat heads and old men...and Indie Classics from '93...no No though surprisingly. James, I.Carpets etc...

I didnt twig that you'd all be in J.Brookes. Is that the Wetherspoon opposite Picc Gardens?

The only Viking i met before the gig was this tall lad (didnt know his name) with a blue 808State T-shirt in the lift at the Prem Travel Inn. By then, like him I was in the mood for some 808 and headed to the venue for 7pm.

We'll have to make an effort to meet up at the next gig if not before.

Just so I know for next time...where is Dry as you walk up Oldham street from Picc Gardens, left or right side, and is it still called Dry?

However, leave Picadilly on Oldham Street. You cross one road at a set of traffic lights, Dry is on the right hand side of the road half way to the next set of lights. It's still called dry but (typically) doesn't have its name on the outside. The openening hours are dependent on when the bar staff can be bothered to let you in, but in any case they show exemplary Mancunian hospitality, they are rude, ignorant, arrogant and full of their own self importance when they have no right to be. As I say don't bother.

Oh and you wouldn't have got in Wetherspoons unless you were part of a couple.
