That picture reminds me of when the Order were on Jools Hooland and they showed a clip of BM on TOTP 1983 and Sean Hughes said you shouldnt have got rid of the skinny bloke who used to play bass`

Them pics aint from NEC'89 Mike.

Thanks John,

I am confused now though, all I can think of is, I took em at either;

Hammersmith Palais 85, or; Woolwich Coronet 87

Can anyone help?

Yeah , my first thoughts were that they aren't from the NEC gig.I was there.The stage looks too small for the NEC and i'm sure Barney wasn't still in his tight jeans phase at that gig.

Hmm.. has to be earlier, 85- 87?

Thanks for posting em anyway ,Mike

More likely to be the Coronet than the Hamm Pal.

Fuckin useless you are Mike!

And well spotted Unc, we were too far away and my memory's gash hence not knowing. Biggest recollection from the gig was Hooky taking a breather during a song - he was sat on one of the speakers at the front of the stage whilst playing.

The other vivd memory was hearing them play 1963. Blew me away at the time!!!!

I think it was hammersmith 85,i was at both these gigs. For a second i thought the person with the bleached hair was me as i had my hair bleached and cut like Kirk Brandon of Spear of destiny/ Theatre of hate fame, and i always stand on Hookys side of the stage. The Woolwich gig am sure he had his leathers on. Mike have you got any pics if Hooky playing his semi bass from these gigs?? If it's his gibson semi then it's defo 85 as i know he had the eccleshall made in 86.

I think it's the Ham Palais, but can't make out the front of Barney's t-shirt to see what it says. From memory, he had on a Shangri La's t-shirt at Ham Palais. Hooky was DEFO in vest and trackies though, which adds weight to that. Steve had a cycling top on, I think?!

At Woolwich Barney came on in a ridiculous yellow/red/someothercolours golfing type jumper, then took it off one song in to reveal a white polo shirt, I think, underneath? He DEFO had fawn aviation cords on at Woolwich though - which came up to his armpits! Those things were huge! I bought a pair from Ken Market maybe one week later. SAD CNUT THAT I AM!
