im seriously thinking about it, credit card would take a bit of a battering, but im very tempted, price seems to be about 300 from glasgow with pretty shitty looking hotel thrown in, on expedia.

Are you not going to Hooky's DJ date tomorrow? If so, then that's a question that begs to be asked! :)

I'm going. Got 2 work-mates going. Plus another non NewOrder mate as it's his bidet weekend (actually, I say he's non NewOrder but it's H, who a lot of people here who know me will know from gigs).

So fingers crossed it's 100% confirmed soon!

Nope, but do have severe cashflow issues thanks to burst boiler and stretched credit card. Shouldn't have too much problem putting the £400 or whatever I'll need together, but won't be booking till late on.

Direct scheduled flight with flyglobespan.com from Glasvegas to Athens is £157.60 including all taxes. Out Weds 31 May back a week later. If you don't wanna go for a week (and there is only one flight per week with globespan) the one-way is £78.70 and you can make your way back via Stansted for not much more using an Easyjet/Ryanair combo.

What you gotta understand with the budget airlines is that 9 times out of 10 it's gonna be cheaper to go via one of the London airports. And to get the best price prepare yourself for long waits at Stansted/Luton between flights. I was three hours at Stansted the other night comin back from CZ.

Have a look at the "Flight Checker" feature on moneysavingexpert.com which saves you HOURS in trying to get the best prices. Skyscanner.net is also good.

moneysavingexpert.com... great site, but that Martin Lewis what a nerd, doesn't like music and doesn't own any music recording or audio playing equipment. He did mention he was going to Athens for a visual of New Order.

I agree. The fella is a freak. I'm surprised there isn't a section devoted to "Strategies For The Avoidance Of Buying A Round And Paying For The Taxi Home". The site's awesome though. Saved a packet on me internet (madasafish.com) and changing my utilities provider. HOW FUCKING BORING DO I SOUND?!!!! Apologies.
