I seem to recall that you have to buy a 3 day ticket for a 1 hour set.....not gonna happen.

Anyone who IS coming over is very welcome for a wee smoke round the coast at chez steve.

At this point in time? No. It's the only one that doesn't really appeal if I'm being honest. But I'm sure I'll doubtless change my mind nearer the time and fly in for the day only. Probably.

typical, buggers play down the road from me and there's a massive "shite band tax" to pay, on top of the usual festival gouging.

Ulster Hall boys, Ulster fucking Hall (I'm sure me and Owens and Snoop explained this in precise detail to Hooky, I'm pretty sure we gave him directions and their bookin number too LOL).

Anyway, the offer stands for anyone who's stopping over on the floating Moss-mat for a few days, yous are all welcome at chez Steve.

This has already set me back 350 notes, gonna work out more expensive than Spain and now I see they're just doing support !

Hope it's better than when they supported the Chilli Peppers in Dublin.

Reports back from last year's Electic Picnic were good. It's very well organised apparently. Also has smaller more intimate stages so you're not lost in a sea of drunk teens.

At the moment I'm stuck with our babysitting inlaws out of the country in September. Don't think I'll chance bringing the nippers (10&9) yet.

Hell yeah, what an almight o'Clusterfuck that was. Only NO gig in this country I was GLAD to fuck up getting to see. ( found out bout it 3 days after it LOL)

This would be better for me as there are loads of bands and acts playing at EP who i'd like to see. Timing of the thing isn't great. Radiohead & Beck at the end of August, Northern Ireland vs Iceland match on the same weekend as EP, heading to Denmark at the start of October which i could do with saving some money for as Copenhagen is expensive as fuck! Plus anyone i've asked isn't really fussed on going to EP :o :(

I'd still love to go though :crazy:

New Order are NOT supporting the Pet Shop Boys at electric picnic in Ireland. They are not even playing on the same day, never mind the same stage. New Order play the main stage on SATURDAY SEPT 2 and Pet Shop Boys play one of the tents on SUNDAY SEPT 3.

And both are worth the cost of a weekend ticket IMHO

it's a festival and the notion of support acts does not apply. new order will be on last on the main stage to the best of my knowledge on the saturday.

Oh right, I thought this was intially advertised as having three headliners - Pet Shop Boys, Basement Jaxx, Massive Attack.

I'm beginning to seriously consider this - as I can't make ANY of the other gigs..........and I've just noticed the Skatalites are on !!!! Definitely give the camping a miss though........

new order are playing saturday sept 2nd. you can only buy a weekend ticket, there are no day tickets for the festival.

Considering the sodding thing STILL hasn't sold out yet, I'm getting more and more tempted, but its completely and utterly insanely expensive.

TPK coming back to the setlist is tempting me, though. If they'd guarantee it'll fecking STAY there I'd be booking tickets in the morning...
