What exactly were the bouncers doing wrong? I wasn't there I was just wondering, been to gigs before where the bouncers really ruin the night and it pisses me off. It's as if some don't even understand the concept of a gig and what happens at one
This is all well and good and also very noble, but isn't this is a little like shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted.
The bouncers acted like cnuts, yes. We all saw that. I was stood next to both Garymac AND Wolfram when they were ejected. Although, admittedly, at the time I didn't realise they'd been chucked out till much later. I ended up phoning Steve when I'd wandered off for a beer and discovered he was off the premises. What did people envisage happening though? The whole venue just standing up and shoving down the front as soon as they opened?! Nice idea, but it never looked like happening, did it? How many people shoved forward at, say, the QEH? And how many at this one?!
I'm sure people's intentions here are all well and good but shit happens in life. And you deal with it. Then move on. You can't let it trouble you. No one got hurt, no one got killed, and I doubt many of us had very high expectations of a gig in a tent anyways. Like everything in life, it'll be chip paper by Tuesday. Then we can all start whinging about the next gig instead. But if you go writing letters you'll just drag the disappointment around with you for so much longer instead of letting go.

All very true, but it makes me feel better! 
Very well put Al, however, I've done event security before and some of the people 'working' there last night wouldn't have even got an interview with my old lot. There are such things as discretion and empathy...
My complaint isn't just as a whinge - it's to hopefully ensure that that particular security company tighten up their practice, or their employees may well ruin gigs or events for other bands and their fans. Yes, I was pissed off to see some of 'our' lads ejected from the venue, but that isn't my main reason for complaining.
Sometimes righteous indignation is a good thing, and in this case, as long as it doesn't end up as Bull/China Shop syndrome, I believe it to be justified.
And it was a pleasure (as ever) to see you again, cheers for the badges - Tricia has been wearing her 'London Order' badge proudly (upside down) all day and when we arrived back in London, even tried to persuade a LRT ticket guy that she was allowed to travel free as she was (showing said badge) a member of the 'London Order'...
Damn, *nearly* worked...

Well, all over for this weekend and hope not too many sore heads today. Waiting to sober up and find out...
Ok, for atmosphere is was NEVER going to be the greatest NO gig, because of the seating in there. But having moved from the back to gate crash the front (sorry but I wasn't the only one who had that idea. In fact I even laughed when I read on these pages that some of you were planning the same), I have to say that for once the bouncers weren't moaning half as much as they normally do in there. Normally if you move into the side to have a dance, you get told to move right back into your seat. Ok that might of been because of Hooky saying what he did.
But maybe the band will also realise that they don't work in all seated venues........
When we got the first yellow card (Next Time, you leave the tent) from the bouncers, I leaved my seat and stayed the rest of the concert at the middle entrance. There were some squares for standing. It was amazing there. Spain will be better.

The yellow peril were a disgrace. Total kill-joys. They can stick that tent up their arses – wouldn’t go back there for anything.

Got to say, I do agree with you philosophy Al. It was crap, but it is better to move on. Let's get excited about the next gig, whether it be this week or October.

Madrid. I think that's gonna be too hot. 
A gig in a tent was always gonna be what it was. A gig in a tent. In seats. There didn't really seem to be that many people up for it anyways, did there? There was no-one near the front till the dancey stuff kicked in, and even then we're not talking a mass migration towards the stage.
Just one of them things. 
Didnt think the bouncers were as bad as at QEH. No one has mentioned being hit? I seem to remember at QEH a few fists flying.
A mate was lobbed out for a 'smoking related'incident. You cant have any complaints about that, you take your chance. Although it wasnt actually him that flicked his cig at the bouncers, it was another mate :\ohwell:
We all know the score, people at the front paid more for their tickets so they deserve that protecting. Not good hearing that mates got ejected but as I said, you take your chance at all seated venues!
Although I've no idea why the rozzers got involved inside the tent, not seen that before. Maybe when security were losing it they called them in?
I remeber starting a piss taking chant to the head of security and a few joined in, he gave me a look that said 'keep it going laddie, I'll get you later', I soon backed down, he was one evil looking geezer.
It was a different sort of bad here, this was a petty bad, binning people for standing up in the front row and crap things like that. QEH was a bumrush to the front, no wonder they got a bit tetchy.
You have to question why the Order do these seated gigs though.

The police were there from the second the band took the stage. Bit strange that, makes you wonder why they were needed?! Venues should be self-policing.

Take Als point about what is the actual point! but if nobody ever complained things would never improve. Didn't take long to draft a letter so the job is done and time to look forward to next gig!!!

I'm with you big Al. They were all a bunch of C**ts. I had one telling me to stop taking photos because the flash was getting in his eyes. F**king Puff!! thought scoucers were hard. Told him i would turn the flash off and carried on, he was still not happy with that, so our lass give the look not to push it. He didn't hang around to long after the hooky put in his 2 pennys worth. He is the man!! He really thinks about the fans. If you are watching bloke big thank you. I got some good shots in the end once that tosser had gone
