Hmmm... I'm tempted.

fucking rough venue though.

Used to be a chicken in the basket type of place I think, under another name.

Last time I was there was after an Orbital gig in a field in South Croydon (1996?), and some black guy shot someone outside this place. Part of the Thornton Heath 'massive'.

You're thinking of somewhere else.

Has been fairly rough in the past Tim - I've played there a couple of times before, supporting Conflict...

Still, I'll come along and even drag the new girly if she'll go. If...

Hope to get there mate :thumb:

I might be. Thought it was an old nightclub between West Croydon and Thornton Heath. Dunno. I'll do a drive past next week.

It's a DRIVE BY, not a 'drive past' not unusual in those parts...

And yes, you're right about the location...

If its the one I'm thinking of, it used to be called Sinatras.

The Corby Order are destined not to see either you lot or Re : Order!

Hope ye's have a great gig and there's an honorable NOOL turn out, I will be "sunning" it in Espana. Sorry :shades:

It's next door to Cinatras/Sinatras apparently.

I saw The Fall there a couple of months back. Alan Wise was on the door, literally taking the tickets, he was in good form and mark E Smith put in a belter, night three of four I think it was. Venue holds 250-300 tops. No aggro whatsoever. It's probably safer than walking around Liverpool last weekend!

According to the venue's website you're close to Sumner Road - is this significant?

You'll have to see what we play in recognition of that!

Ta for a good night fellas.

Highlights for me were the JD stuff we don't get live any more, particularly Decades and Heart of Soul.

And of course, a special mention for Jim's Barney impression during TPK. I thought it was the man himself until I realised that Barney is a bit slimmer.

Look forward to seeing you again in the future.

I'll echo what Jim said, thanks for coming! Good to make a few new Digital converts as well.

We played:

Crystal Transmission 24 Hours Your Silent Face Decades Disorder Wilderness Warsaw In A Lonely Place Blue Monday

The Perfect Kiss Ceremony Shadowplay Sunrise Heart And Soul Atmosphere Love Will Tear Us Apart Procession Age Of Consent She's Lost Control

Who's Joe, Insight and Temptation were also on the setlist, but the fookin' bass amp blew during She's Lost Control, bringing a premature end to an enjoyable night.
