Just a few phrases that might come in handy over the weekend:

Dos cervezas, por favor. (Two beers, please.)

Dos más cervezas, por favor. (Two more beers, please.)

¿Mi televisión está quebrado, usted sabe dónde puedo conseguirla reparada? (My television is broken, do you know where I can get it repaired?)

Un cristal de leche, por favor (A glass of milk, please.)

Dos más cervezas, por favor. (Two more beers, please.)

¿El bailar agresivo? (Aggressive dancing?)

¿CEL BAILAR AGRESIVO? (AGRESSIVE DANCING?)

¡Le demostraré bailar agresivo, usted pequeño hombre horrible! (I'll show you aggressive dancing, you horrible little man!)

¡El Hooky es nuestro líder! (Hooky is our leader!)

And those all-important smileys:

This one may be needed too:

Somos los Vikings. Hemos venido para sus mujeres, su cerveza, y New Order. ¿Le tiene Shug visto, o él ha sido quitado por el Guardia Civil? ¿A propósito... Cuánto es la multa?

Translation:

'We are the Vikings. We have come for your women, your beer and New Order. Have you seen Shug, or has he been carted off by the Guardia Civil? By the way... How much is the fine?'

Sorry to the female Vikings on that one - just substitute 'mujeres' for 'hombres' and you should get what you're after...

For some reason your translator left Shug as, um, Shug.

Mine was more verbose - "La persona inglesa, azul y corta con un acento chistoso."

Classic from PompeyOrder at the weekend (he speakadalingo) - "Mi nombre no es Jesús pero el pene son un milagro y no toman dos días para subir otra vez!"

Apparently it really works?! :skeptic:

And a couple we'll need to throw in for locating drinking establishments.

"Dónde puede encuentro a los cazadores de cabezas?" :eek3:

"Dónde puede evito ésos que lamen las ventanas?" :evil4:

There was a lad with Alex, John & Chrsitine (Luca was it?) he was giving me some handy phrases - but I've forgotten em already. He's doing Spain as well he said, so if there's any taxi's to be had - I'm in with him and you's can go with Dave :uhoh:

Didn't use a translator Al, my Spanish is quite rusty, but I made 'em up meself!

Probably grammatically incorrect, but there you go...

Trust me, Chris. This is very good news. Few of us do like our television sets to be in tip-top working order. And adeptly polished to perfection. I would like to think we take this wholesome attitude abroad with us too. Just cos we're on our hols, doesn't mean we need to cut corners or take liberties. Hats off to Johnny!

Lads - I had to put up with nothing but Spanish TV for 2 years. Believe me, it's not a good thing... 'Father Ted' dubbed into Spanish was quite funny though!
