I checked yesterday for fun.. it's 1100$ round trip from Montreal to Sao Paulo... a lot cheaper than what I expected...
Compared to the more likely 1000$ for the UK, it's a lot cheaper when you go in Brazil than in the UK, that's for sure.
OK I looked harder this time. If I go, I would leave Calgary Fri Nov 10 and arrive in San Paulo (14.5 hour flight)on Sat Nov 11 And take a bus to Rio (Maybe) And fly home Sat Nov 18 and arrive in Calgary on the 19 (21 hour flight).
Total cost: = CAD 1297.59
If I fly From Sao Paulo to Rio toal cost: $2100.00 (something is wrong here???) I tried one way to Sao Paulo to rio and now it says no flights??? Well looks like if I wanted to go I would need to see a Travel agent.

That's definitely wrong. A roundtrip flight costs 675 reais, which converts to 347 CAD. Gol usually have the best fares. You can book the flights through http://www.voegol.com.br/INT (this website is in English) or compare prices at Decolar (http://www.decolar.com).
