bah... i can't afford several thousand dollars. and i was just being snotty. it's just that being a new order fan in america is kind of masochistic. we never get to see them play, we pay double for imports, we get a new order themed night at the clubs once every blue moon....
really, what i'm saying is this:
IT'S NOT FAIR!
(i want to cry.)
as for all your "bloody dick" comments, shove it. it was mine and now you've ruined it for me. come up with something of your own. you only insult yourself when you insult me with my own words (he says highly).
poop.
this is amazing. I am so tempted to fly over for this.
problem is I was also considering flying over for the Bournemouth gig.
can't do both though. which should I choose? oh the horror!
I'll go to NOOL day if Jacks band plays "would?"

Obviously I will be there along with my bag of wires and gadgets. Might bring a couple of others with me, but I'm not sure.
Too right I'm going to make this one, let us know about the ticket details and I'll be there!![]()

sigh... we always get the bloody dick in the butt when it comes to new order. even from the fanclub. sad.
I think the most offensive word in this posting is actually [gulp] 'fanclub' ![]()
I really wish I could make it, but I'll be using my vacation time towards my trip to South America instead. :D
And Jesse, if you want something bad enough, you gotta find a way to go after it instead of waiting for it to come to you. You don't hear the Vikings complain about how difficult it is to follow New Order to the ends of the earth, and they get to see them in their home country way more than we do! Some of us North Americans (not me) are making the trek over to the UK for this event, which I certainly don't think is too much considering how some of those UKers came to America last year. I'm going to South America instead and some of those crazy Vikings are going there too (you nutters)!
And oh yeah... those fans in South America have been waiting 18 years for New Order to come back to their vicinity. Certainly we in the USA don't have it all that bad.

I'd like to think of us as more of a social club.
You know, like the Headhunters or the ICF or something. ![]()

Maybe if I just come over for the 1 day & skip Wembley/Wolves - I'd still need somewhere to sleep off the hangover tho'.

There will be all kind of things - looking at t-shirts at the moment, and hopefully there will be a DVD of the bands available as well soon after the day. I don't know who the badge makers are, but no reason why not!
Shall be discussing artwork etc with resident graphic specialist very soon.....

Don't go a bundle on those shirts though. ![]()
Would it be rude of me to point out that "NOOL Day" sounds, frankly, a bit wank?
Can we not think up something a little more NewOrderesque?: y'know, a little bit of mystery and abstraction.....

Go for it - NOOL Day was something Spotnick came up with to describe what was essentially a day where NOOL came together! All sensible suggestions for an alternative name considered.

Yep, good idea. "NOOL Day" is a bit cheesey/trite as a moniker.
Another competition folks?!
Can we get away frm the word 'Community' too, please?
Unless, of course, it's got a 'Care in the' stuck in front of it?!

isn't something supposed to happen at the Bournemouth gig? like a two hour JD set followed by a 4 hour NO set including 10 tracks not played since 89 and all the track from the new one? ok, Im exaggerating, but I was just under the impression it was going to be a special event of sorts, an aniversary gig, correct?
Bournemouth is supposed to be a bit special, yes. Our day will at least be sandwiched between two NO gigs, so theoretically you would get three good gigs for your money rather than just the Bournemouth one. Pity they are 20 days apart really!

I don't remember that, but well, I sure don't mind a change.. as long as it's a good name.
