Fcuk it, why not? ![]()
Although - as I've said elsewhere - the Argies are playing Brasilia in the new Arsenal stadium, just 20mins walk from me. Oh, the timing of it all.

I suppose this means you aren't doing any of the English ones?
Unfortunately can't do EP.

In my defence, I'd already booked a flight! ![]()
They should announce more acts at this festival instead of more gimmicks :\ohwell: Though i'm not having a go at the lineup, i'm happy enough tbh
Will be there. Finally getting to see the Order for real so they better not let me down too badly. ![]()

Just replied to your e-mail. Seems we won't have long to chat as we are driving back after gig! Better than not at all though ![]()
New Order are 2nd on the bill for the Main Stage 10.00pm - 11.15pm. Groove Armada will headline ![]()
I think I'm gonna be at this gig - I hope so because as well as NO I really wanna see Bloc Party.
Will probably find out inabit if I'm going or not. ![]()
Will have to see Bloc Party. They are on the same time as Belle & Sebastian, Gang of Four & Tilly&The Wall which is a bit pants. Bloc Party is the winner though.
yeah, Bloc Party for me too. They're on the same stage right before NO, so that comes in handy...
some of the other bands I hope to see: Hot Chip, dEUS, Broken Social Scene, The Rapture...
But I think I might have to fight over some of those with Gaius;)

hmm, want to see tilly & the wall, it's a great album & they'll be on a smaller stage. belle & seb were brilliant in madrid so want to see them too! think will see start of tilly, then catch bloc party til belle & seb are on then head to the order.
Right, so
pre-gig meet-up anyone? send me an e-mail & we can swap mobile phone numbers - the best way to get in contact at these events IMO
Also, anyone coming into the country, unsure of directions, transport, etc. Again, email me initially (I'll send you my mobile number in the reply) & we'll try to sort out any problems as they occur.
and I do mean ANYONE (as long as you are a NO fan, of course!) Don't be shy:D
E-mail - link is at the bottom of this post![]()
Likewise, anyone flying into Belfast who needs a hand with owt, gimme a shout I will do what I can (although I am not actually going to the gig, I can't fuckin abide festivals). If anyone needs a sofa for a night before a flight home from Belfast, likewise I'm yer man, I'm 20 mins by train from the front door of Geordie Best Airport.

Anyone going to the picnic this mite interest you. Looks like someone from the band is going to be at a meet the fans and interview in the hot press chat room. The hot press chat room is behind the main stage and it only holds about 50 people so get there early.
Bloc Party are among the latest additions to the Hot Press chat room at the Electric Picnic.
Kele and the London lads are now confirmed for an appearance ahead of their 8.15pm slot on the main stage on Saturday.
They'll be interviewed by a top HP journo in front of an audience of festival goers around 4pm.
Also newly confirmed is Josh Ritter, who'll be doing likewise at 5pm on the Sunday. This leaves the current line up for the Hot Press chat room looking like this:
(all times are subject to change)
Friday: dEUS (8.30pm or 9pm)
Saturday: Broken Social Scene (3pm) Bloc Party (4 or 4.30pm) The Frames (7pm) New Order (8pm) Gang Of Four (9pm)
Sunday: Elbow (3pm) Josh Ritter (5pm) Richard Hawley (time tbc) Duke Special (time tbc)
We'd bet our own granny that say that more bands will be confirmed throughout the weekend, so keep an eye out on notices outside the Hot Press chat room and hotpress.com for the latest additions and changes.
To watch your fave bands being interviewed, just turn up early enough to get a seat. As well as being interviewed, bands will take questions from the audience, and who knows, may even play a tune or two and sign your memorabilia.

Bournemouth (Belfast-southampton then train round the coast to bournemouth), Wembleeeeee and Wolves. Would have LOVED to see them in Ireland, but I really cannot abide the thought of standing dick deep in piss created mud, paying £45 for can of warm coke, and having to listen to horrid, rotten chart music, just to hear a truncated NO set.
(not to mention the inevitable hiding of my face when a party of my cUntrymen go round singing the sash and fucking the place up at some point.)

And you forgot to mention the extortionate ticket prices
3day ticket only available - 175 euro (plus the ticketmaster shite) - Bournmouth actually works out only a little dearer including flights ticket & accomodation in a decent hotel!
HI Cunan I'll be a the picnic tommorrow and Sunday. Looking forward to seeing The Order and Pet Shop Boys. Wheres the official meet up?

I have some mobile numbers (including yours) & I'll be contacting everyone when i get there (probably around 7ish tomorrow) so hopefully we can all get together before the gig
& then take over the space in front of Hooky, as per usual:D
She's lying - said to me earlier that she's glad she's not going. She also said that she hopes it rains.
