Lahndan Ordah, Wembley/Event, help a paddy out!

OK, I been looking for somewhere to store my arse while in ye olde londinium in October. Most of the cheapish hotels seem to be in and around the King's Cross/Camden/Euston part of town. Now I am assuming these areas are all fairly close to the venue for Event, right? And handy enough for making my train to wolves on the Sunday. But what I am wondering, is.....is it practical or sensible to take the tube back there apres Wembley (I assume the arena is not far from the stadium, right?), and if not, what are you looking at in terms of a cross town taxi late on a friday night.

Any advice gratefully received.

There's a cheap Travelodge I think right by Euston station. When I say cheap... I think its £60 a night, which is a bargain for the area. Trust me.

As for Wembley.. well it will kick out by 11, so the Metropolitan Line will be available to get back into central London..

Yer much better off staying in Euston, than Wembley is what I'm trying to say. EVENT may go on much longer.. Who knows.

ULU is opposite Euston, ish... its a really short walk..

Cross town taxi from Wembley would probably cost you at least £30 each way, at a normal time of the night. Its on the Heathrow run.

Found a few el-cheapos with decent reviews, just B+B's with big ideas really, but cheap as feck.

As Burt said, you won't need a taxi. The tube runs late enough to get you back into central London, but it's good to have an idea of costs just in case...

One other thing you need to know,is that a taxi would be very hard to come-by at that time of night.

Ta very much folks. I found a coupla of places in the 30-35 quid a night range in King's cross. Not too far from Euston area, I just hope they are not knocking shops (KC is Prozzie central is it not?), tho they get rave reviews so I would doubt it.

Looking forward to this actually, I hope I find time to vist Hyde Park or Kew Gardens, they're my favourite bit of London.

I was only asking about taxis cos I was worrying about the state of me alone on the tube cos I am a bit freaked out by the sheer scale of London. It then occurred to me that all and sundry from Wembley will be heading back by tube and I'll prbably still be surrounded by NOOLers.
