Just had a phone call from me ole mucker Mr Dave Legge.

Apparently there were a lot of youngsters down the front in the mix and obviously they are not fully trained in the art of moshing yet

Best story so far - Al was drinking bottles of wine which apparently tasted shit and weren't strong. He had 8 or 9 bottles and by the time of the gig he was falling all over the place. I guessed something was up when I didnae receive an update every three or four songs :viking:

Dave's words were "He's a fucking disgrace" The rest of the Vikings had a great time though......

His Holiness, The Pope wrote: Playing the synth line of TPK in the middle of BM vastly improves it. That was nicely shambolic.

Announcer said something about Radioactivity being sampled at the end. Sounded a "bit" like it, but not sure about that.

it does a bit yeah

Does Irish radio normally sound as though it comes from Craggy Island? National news, someone has been arrested for posession of Class A drugs!!!

My god, great story!! I can see it now - Al trampling on everyone in sight and getting smaller Vikings in a headlock.

Bet he feels shit at this moment!! Hope he remembers the gig.

Thanks to Leggey for pic of Barney in action (on my phone that is)!

Thanks a lot mate, I'm grabbing this now. Is this the full show ?

Just the webcast. So we're all missing the first 4 songs.

Barney sounds quite pissed during the intro to KW1.

Well done Al - has anyone heard from him yet?

Thanks for the text Liam - Mr Vegas took care of the reply (not that I like telling tales or anything, but I though you should know that it was him!)

(And I had to help him with the spelling!)

Me being "the smaller Viking" :eek3:

Falling on top of him as he hit the deck with my head firmly under his arm. :blackeye:

During BLT

And he wondered this morning why he was covered in mud

I was still there for BLT! :eek3:

Not one of my finer moments, going up to the Mixing Desk and demanding the setlist .... er, whilst the band were still actually playing!

Cheers to Cuana-D for getting me and Leggy home after Wolfram and JG had simply had enough of our shenanigans and fcut off back to Dublin without us! Hope your motor ain't too muddy after we'd been in there!

And cheers to the wedding party for, erm, supplying us with all their grub. Involuntarily.

And I bet Eimear regrets giving me her moby number. :uhoh:

Oh, and I do really have snaps of Liam 'blowing' Ian Curtis.

You'd gone away (to get more piss weak white wine :evil4: )and you came back, announcing your reappearance by grabbing me round the head and launching us into the rows in front; who promptly parted like the Red Sea

Indeed, big :thumb: and  to Eimear and Conrad. See ya in Bournemouth :)

Oh yeah, just remembered - boo boys of the day were Bloc Party, who - rather naughtily - told everyone to enjoy 'Snooze Order' at the end of their set.

Bit rich coming from a band who's whole sound appears to be based around being a Public School answer to Joy Division.

Posh fcukers.

Bastards, especially considering that at the Hot Press interview Bernard claimed they liked Bloc Party. Mind you, he didn’t sound too convincing.

Well done, Al on remembering anything at all. No mean feat considering the state you were in.

Dave – I’ll join you as a party to GBH proceedings against Al if you like; although it would be attempted in my case: despite his best efforts at tripping me up and pushing me over, he didn’t quite succeed. Always one step ahead!

Why don't we all raid the Bloc Party Forum...?

Assuming they have any fans that is.
