Hello y'all,

besides Maximo Park there's still no word on support on the upcoming Britisch dates? Or any reasonable rumours? Love to see Mogwai support them in Glasgow, their European tour wraps up just one week earlier. Aaaaaaah, what if....

Section 25 are supporting at Blackpool:

"SXXV are delighted to announce that they shall be supporting New Order at their Blackpool Empress Ballroom concert on October 16th.

New Order last played Section 25's hometown 23 years ago at The Venue... with Section 25, who also arranged the gig."

Sounds good! :thumb:

Only support acts mentioned thus far are Bournemouth (see Alan Wise's mail), Wembley (Maximo Park) and Blackpool (Section 25).

Presumably they'll be announced nearer the time?

Support Acts? The only support acts I've seen with NO were The Wake 1985, A Guy called Gerald 1988 or 87 and ACR at the G-Mex (too feckn late for The Mondays that night!) Cabaret Voltaire were good supporting Electronic, mind you so was big Arthur B before the last Glasgow gig, apparently the support were shit that night. Then again it was usually trying to get a few down in Bairds Bar before the gigs started at the Barras.Beer or Support Act?? Maybe Joy Division will play a short warm up set. Now that would be value for £32+1/2 notes plus booking fee!!!!!!!!

I watched ACR at Apollo, cos I rather like them too, althoug they didn't play "good together" :(

Can't see me leaving a nice cosey pub to go and see any randoms but.

I still think it'd be good to have NO doing a JD-only mini-set, like they did for Peel Day as a support slot and then play a NO-only set for the main feature... Impractical for them, I know...

And like they did at the MEN.

And what they did as the encore at Brixton and Manchester last november.

I'll probably watch Section 25 at Blackpool but, apart from that, unless some other "must see" support act shows up at other venues, then I'll stay in the pub for the other lot... Don't really like Maximo Park... :p

Section 25 used to be quite good...I think they might get a good reception in Blackpool..

All you lot need now is the Stockholm Monsters to come out of retirement !!!
