ROUND AND ROUND Best song off their best album. Also a nostalgia fest 'cause it was the first time I saw them, but I'm selfish ain't I. Overlooked since '94 when Stephen Hague changed one drumbeat and called it a remix.

DREAMS NEVER END The only reason to keep listening to 'Movement'. Hooky keeps barging in with his raucous unwelcome backing voacals all the time, why not give the poor sod a break?

GUILTY PARTNER Technically speaking, fucking great. Played live TWICE over THREE DAYS... SEVEN AND A HALF YEARS BACK!!! What the fuck is going on?

SOMETHING OFF THIS NEXT ALBUM Don't care what it is, just something original. I used to love it when they'd bash out half-writtwen stuff and just see how it went. Since America '89 the gigs are confident, crowd-pleasing and about as predictable as whether or not Razzle centrefolds will take their clothes off or not.

Shouldn't this read "four songs they ain't gonna stop playing, and four songs they ain't gonna be playing"?

One would hope that they will at least give some of the Disco trilogy a rest for at least some of the October gigs. The usual excuse for playing them at every gig is that it's what the crowd want - at festivals maybe, but these gigs will be populated by the die-hards, who are sick to the back teeth of the same songs every single gig and who can't wait for something just a little out of the ordinary!

Guilty Partner live was rough though, if i recall. Might sound better with an extra guitarist.

unless they go nuts and start playing 'rare' tracks over the next few gigs, i dont think theres any chance of many more sirens tracks being played live (or at least for a LONG time), which is a shame coz guilt, i told you so and morning, night and day would probably sound good live.

Well Michael - looks like everyone agrees with you as to which tracks should be dropped, its just what to replace them with that we can argue about.

Actually, the 4 you sugested would be great for a fans gig (not festival).

I'm hoping for this kind of thing in Bournmouth - which is meant to be a 'special' gig - so hopefully a bit different.

Also, the resurection of HURT would be a wonder to behold (religious phrasing for a religious experience)

And NEW SONGS - yes please Anything written since '98 - yes please.

(if we all get our way tho - it'll end up with an 8-hour set:D )

Well we cannae expect them to dump the "holy trinity" for good, maybe, knock em out at Wemberly and leave them out of the "little" shows?

LOADS of songs I would love to hear them play, but on the other hand, I am deeply fearful of hearing them in a watered down karaoke style.....give me live machines or give me death ;)

As for Jd songs, I don;t mind them playing them , BUT I wish they would play the ones they are GOOD at. Shadowplay sounds like a pub-band cover (more than anything, the "groove" seems to have developed some SWING as opposed to the womp bash womp bash womp bash womp bash of the original...2steps from being "the girl from iponena" (oh, they already did that, it's called "the happy one" ) ). Whereas Isolation is an almighty RIOT of a track that they play BEAUTIFULLY, and words cannot describe how wonderful their rendition of Heart and Soul is.

But at the end of the day, as long as Barney's insulting us and Hooky continues to have no concept of realistic volume levels, I'll be happy as a pig in shite. ;)

You're allowed your choice as to which songs to drop (except Blue Monday of course). And you have even greater liberty as to which songs to add, that's a matter of opinoni. Point is, it's been over fifteen years since a gig held any surprises. Except Apollo 98 of course, the surprise being they played at all.
