Oh the shame. I fly fuckin hundreds of miles, and spend the whole time in my hotel.

I was fine and dandy by the time I got to Bournemouth, a bit oerheated, but fine. Was still kinda groovy when I arrived at the pub. but within one hour I was fading. Grabbed some food and headed to Hotel, lay on bed (food uneaten) until like 20 to 9, whence I wandered to the gig. Jem took one look at me and ordered me to check my coat in at cloakroom, I did so, and was just handing my pass out to the door bint when I heard their intro music (what is that BTW, Morricone?). My state of fuckedness fell from me in an instant, and within 2 seconds I was moving faster than any Irishman of my age ( not to mention girth) should really travel in a populated area. Made it before they came on.

the first half dozen tunes obliterated whatever was wrong with me, I was pogoing like a cunt and grinning like a chessire cat who just put his foot down in an open topped AC Cobra on a straight road on a sunny day. Must bring a slice of lemon to deal with that next time. Spoke to many of you buggers after gig, though not nearly enough, I wonder if Angel-WAC has calmed down yet

Climbed mountain to hotel.

lay on bed watched tv felt BAD attempted sleep failed got up went to station too early Got to airport too early lost will to live managed to eat a banana will to live momentarily re-discovered by putting mp3 player on and finding that it had forgotten where it had been and had instead decided to play "the happy one". more waiting plane rushed to train got there JUST in time for the 1523 watched the 1521!!!!!!!!! leave the station sans steve sat at station link moron for half and hour got home posted this shit

I am GUTTED beyond all compare for the following reasons....

I never met up with SO many of you I wanted to see, particularly, brother Digi, for whom I disgraced Ireland by walking around in a shirt that could be seen from space. So many more who I managed only "alright man, good to see you " with. Not recognizing a couple of you ( sorry Col) Not saying hello to Mrs Milky ( a very kindly lass) when she was like 6 feet away. Not going to the afterparty.

Positives? Well NEW ORDER Those of you I did meet up with. FINALLY meeting Bonz, and giving her the hug she's ha coming since last year some time. The actual journey, and Bournemouth itself were very much to my liking too.

However, right this instant, I must confess, I am really in 2 minds about my wembley-event-wolves mission in a couple of weeks, if it's all gonna go strange for me again, if it's gonna be last nightx5 then I think I may have to cut my lossses and bail out. Having said that, I've spent a lot of cash already on it, and obviously BADLY want to go, so I will spend a while trying to get to the bottom of what makes me just such a ponce whenever I try to go out and enjoy myself lately (and it's happened back home too not just in Engerland) What a bollox.

Oh, and young Cunningham trashing his KB mid TPK (take it from the sober music geek, it failed when he tried to play the pad part after the first chorus, if you recall, only hooky was audible there), probably denied us another couple of tunes ( probably a mercy in my case I fear). So much for NO getting more professional, they used to have 3 identical rigs with them, now they have no backups. Mind you, they mainly use Roland and Kurzweil don't they....hardly flimsy kit, I watched 5 rummers play football with my TR505 once and it could not give a fuck.
