All those that attended the Bournemouth New Order Concert on Monday 9th October - there appears to be mixed reactions to the gig, some of you loved it, others of you didnt! So i have set up a simple yes no poll, so we can see the percentage. Please could you write messages to the band ie: Dear New Order, I feel you could of improved the gig by..............or i didnt enjoy it because............or i loved the gig because..............these will then get passed onto the band via their management, then hoprfully they will take stock on what the fans want will make changes where needed! Regards Heidi

Will they fook. It doesn't work like this dear. You can't change the world!
Well I loved every minute as always, simply because it was New Order. My mate Tricia said it was the best one she'd been to (I've taken her to 6 so far) but mainly cos it was so empty and she could get to the front...
Same thing as always... 'Play Age Of Consent'!

Praps if she gives each one of them a knob-job, they'll listen. Barring that, the band don't give a flying fuck. Not like they pass out comment cards and a suggestion box afterwards. ![]()

completely loved it......
not that this will get back to the band !!! but got there & thought I had gone to a works meeting, not impressed with the venue at all. But it's probably one of the best times I've seen them (& that was the 13th)

You can but try though!!! GLAD TO SEE THAT THERE ARE SOME FANS OUT THERE THAT HAVE SOME POSITIVE COMMENTS TO MAKE ABOUT THE GIG AND MESSAGES TO THE BAND - THOSE THAT WISH TO ACT CHILDISH ARE ONLY MAKING THEMSELVES LOOK LIKE COMPLETE TITS - WELL DONE BOYS - AS FOR THOSE WITH ADULT REPLIES - NICE ONE KEEP THEM COMING!!
Of course I enjoyed it!!!
Message to the band that they will never read - keep doing it for many years to come or until you fall off stage!

but it is your chance to send a message as these will officially be put in a letter to the management and read by the managemnet any how - ok the band may not - but at least some kind of direct feedback will go to the management - please could all those that think it is worth a try and have some messages please continue to leave them, others just get out of this thread now!

Thanks Heidi, but I am easily pleased, I honestly haven't got any suggestions apart from keep doing it!

Sorry, a bit confused, Who is Heidi, something to do with the band?
Never come across anything like this before, Al and Alex I echo your comments!
Well Heidi one can certainly tell you haven't been on this site too long! I'm going to Wembley, so as it's for the future.... I 'd like to hear Confusion ( last played when?), Subculture. And as per a previoius rant, ANYTHING from the Technique LP. It's their best and most critically acclaimed studio album yet they've played nothing from it since 1998.
I look forward to my comments being passed on to some grumpy curmudgeons and being completely ignored ![]()

Sorry i didnt know it meant to mean shouting or comes across rude - take it back!
Why doesn't New Order pay attention to my "official" letter to their management? Not like I'm some whinging attention-whore. Not sure how the price of a stamp makes anything official. Sorry, Heidi, but your "suggestions" are going in the bin.
No i havent been on this site very long - for those who do not know me - i arranged the aftershow party at the Bournemouth gig Monday 9th Oct - originally came on here to find out some info for my boyfriend - who is a major new order fan and iam a fan but not as advanced as you guys. I wanted my favourite tune everythings gone green to be played - much to my disapointment it wasnt! Sorry for the capitals! I just think it is worth airing your views to the band!! Even if they ignore it - its worth a try - they may surprise you - although iam a aware they are getting a little old in the tooth. By the way how old is Phil Cunningham?

WOW - NO NEED (i can use capitals for that)iam note saying that they will take not of MY letter or that my letter will not go in the bin - but i was just trying for you guys! - if your not interested take yourself off the thread i shouldnt waist your time on here! I feel somebosy has some issues - calling somebody a whinging attention whore - who you do not even know then thats a little rude dont you think - didnt your mummy ever say to be polite to strangers - oh no she said do not speak to starngers - well in that case i do not know you so F**K OFF cannot believe your rudeness little man!

Ok i shall stop writing on this thread then - but please sir could you be a little civilised and remove your comment!

And for what?! Showing an interest in NO?
Yea its a bit rough.
Heidi is definitely an organiser. A future politician perhaps.
And i didnt get the chance to knock over her drink in the Landmarc the other day, like i did to everyone else. :beer2:

I don't think it's abuse, but I think there's a certain amount of naivety on Heidi's part.
I spoke to Andy Rob on both Monday and Wednesday of this week. Even had Roger Lyons phone me last night. And I'm sure many who post here (and a few who don't) have also spoken to people close to the band this week as well. Defo JG and ATR just for starters.
So I balk when someone says to me "I'M going to tell New Order's management what YOU want New Order to do live".
I want to hear Sunrise and Age of Consent. I certainly wouldn't dream of writing to the band with my concerns however.
I also don't write to Points of View when I don't like a programme on the telly.
Horses for courses, I guess. ![]()

That's exactly the feeling I was left with after reading the original post. I think it's just a case of over-enthusiasm on Heidi's part. Don't see what organising the aftershow has to do with organising the actual gig though? Unless she did both?
The whole thing reminded me of those feedback cards you get in fast food restaurants with the smiley and sad faces on them.
Does anybody ever fill them in? Except maybe Alan Partridge?!
Ally wrote: Does anybody ever fill them in? Except maybe Alan Partridge?!
Well, they must read this. But I don't really see why anyone would want to tell them how they should be performing? People will vote with their feet if they're not happy.
I want to see New Order live, not someone's interpretation of them. So what if - for example - they're not doing Technique stuff live? I don't want to go see New Order playing Technique stuff just cos they read somewhere that they should be playing Technique stuff. That would surely then defeat the object of what the band are about if they're taking on direction from external parties.
Well folks I think we all know that NO will do what they like, when they like and that's one of the reasons we all like them.
Then when they do something out of the blue - well the rush is amazing.
As long as they keep touring - that's the main thing and dont get pissed off by the something like the poor turn out at Bournemouth. But I feel they certainly look like they enjoy themselves more now - but I guess we all do when we get older and fatter.
Well done Heidi - a bit of enthusiasm wont do the moaners any harm at all ![]()
Heidi did well to organise a great after show at short notice. I would advise she leaves it at that. thankfully they are not the sort of group who would respond to such letters as she suggests. Take that have reformed perhaps they need some new fans hiedi and fans sugestion and feed back?. You may want to drop the saint hood as it might offend a strict church going regular like me. well said alex aka big clive

Bloody hell Alex, what have you done with Pompey???

I found one that someone had filled in and forgotten to submit a couple of weeks ago.
Goodness knows what they had ordered, but their responses suggested that they'd had the restaurant experience of a lifetime.
Helpfully, she included her email address on the card. I've written a couple of times requesting clarification, but I have yet to recieve a response.
For the record, I didn't fill one of their stupid cards in as I was far too drunk on overpriced rioja.
I think we should all give Heidi a break. '1st gig overload' is a good description, but how many of the old seasoned cynics can remember how exciting it is to go to your 1st gig?
I enjoyed the Bournemouth gig, though it wasn't a patch on Newcastle, which was an absolute belter.
