Hope I'm not gonna get anyone in trouble for this.

Apparently this has now been confirmed.

This gig was rumoured to happen. As far as I know it would happen at the Nilson Nelson stadium.

You're not helping :p

I'll walk through Sao Paulo customs just as the band take the stage and then have to sit on me own in a hotel room while everyone is partying in Brasilia.

Any of our Brazilian Brethren know of a decent l'hotel located near to the Nilson Nelson?

Got a 'hotel map' of Brasilia and a map of where the arena is but, er, they don't exactly appear to overlay each other?! Looks like two different cities to me?

Any help appreciated.

First thing you need to learn about Brasilia is that nothing is near nothing. Nobody walks by feet, so there is no hotel close to Nilson Nelson. The gymnasium is located on the side of Mané Garrincha Stadium and both are located at the middle of the Eixo Monumental. All adresses in Brasilia are similar to SQS 312K and something... the S at the end means you re on south of Brasilia. Have in mind that the Nilson Nelson is located on the geographic center of the city. As Brasilia is a planned city the hotels are concentrated in two areas SHS and SHN or Setor Hoteleiro Sul (south) and Setor Hoteleiro Norte (North). No matter wich one you choose you will have to take a taxi to get there. Here I have three tips based on cost and benefits you cant get. The first is the more expensive and the last one is the less expensive.

Mercure (www.accorhotels.com.br) Eron Brasilia (www.eronhotel.com.br) Monumental Bittar (www.hoteisbittar.com.br)

Good luck with this
