Having been a lifelong fan I finally saw the Masters at Work, Great to see them play a full range of songs dating back from their early days right up to the present day with all the classics in between, Had the advantage of seeing it all from the balcony, the place rocked! Special bonus seeing them in my home town. Memorable night.
Blackpool.. the verdict?

Gig was ok,not great, maybe I'm a bit bored with the setlist, have heard Regret,BM,Temptation,LWTUA & BLT a bit too much now. Can't say I thought the sound was particularly bad tho' as people seem to be saying, except for BLT which was bit shite.Crowd was great, really into it,& it was great too to hear TPK for first time in 17 years, for me anyway. It was an unexpected treat to see Section 25 too, played quite a bit of Always Now,some new stuff & Looking From A Hilltop,a dedication to Larry's deceased wife,Jenny, was quite touching.Don't think most of the audience knew who the fuck they were tho',shame.
T-shirts £18 fucking quid????!!!! What's that all about?? Naughty.
Highlights for me? These Days & Twenty Four Hours,WFTSC,KW1 & TPK.& Hookys' bass.Gorgeous as always :\ohwell:

The things you do. Left the East coast @ 6pm due to 'teachers stop back night' bollocks. Gave it Joe 90 across A66 country to Blackpool to get there 2 (yes 2) mins before NOrder walked on stage.
Obviously, wearing a suit/tie & looking a bit of a knob and well sober i stayed towards the back and thus avoided the 'ordeal' of meeting any of you.
Non-plused performance & shitty sound, but it filled in a night ![]()
BIN LADEN! You got there two minutes before gig? Who was that Bin Laden I was drinking with? He's an imposter!!! It's about time we brought out the ID card.

It sounds as though we might be a few down for Glasgow, depending on how the Police respond to the allegations.

(I found out today I'm actually a really good liar)
I surfaced after 11 bells, probably did'nt leave until midday(did anyone make it for Brekkie?Last one to go apparently...The Landlady was a bit offish with me and never said call again. In my haze I could'nt work out why,so I just said toodle pip and off I went..But you've brought it all back now I think..Did we semi-trash the gaff?
Anyway, marvelous time, good gig and meet up and bonus disco even had me boogieing to some top tunes.
Great to meet so many people from here, seemed like hundreds(too many to list) who all helped to make it a top night
Special thanks to Al,for putting me at ease from the minute I got to the pre gig introducing me to all the friendly people, and generally making sure I had a good night, which I did and more
Though I draw the line at tippex missy
Hiya mate, glad you got out! Missed breakfast, but left about 10.30 to go and see me mom and pop in Cleveleys.Scottish landlady not too pleased. Her husband got up about 4am to turn music off! To be met by a nice collection of bottles.
Ah well one down and about 500+ B&Bs to go!
First time I've managed to see them - and it was BLOODY SUPERB!
TEMPTATION was like a religious experience - utterly ace.
we found a holiday flat when we arrived in blackpool on sunday.a gay couple ran the flats.one was playing pet shop boys in the back.when he found out we were here to see new order,he raced into the back and put 'singles collection' on.how embarrasing ![]()
Amen to the battered body... was tempted to go to A&E the following morning! Great gig though- I'm no longer a New Order virgin!

I thought they were trying to throw you out for - ahem -'crowd surfing'.

That'll be from Manchester and Preston Grant :-) Missed a top night by the sounds of it :\ohwell: Good to meet you on Saturday......and it was good to speak to 'Monty'

Just got back (local boy! Thank gawd for Premier Taxis! End of plug.) Bloody great but no surprises on the setlist front. Did like the segue between Perfect Kiss & Blue Monday though. Wouldn't have known Barney's got tonsilitis unless he'd told us.
Did he have problems to sing because of the tonsilitis?
The gig was awsome, definately one of my faves so far, The pre-match build up was excellant.
Respect to Ness for operating the Viking Switchboard and getting all the early arrivers in the same place.
For me the gig was a million times better than Bournmouth, It just felt like a proper gig.
Well worth the 270 mile each way road trip !
Great to see you all & See you guys at wembley
Yes was a smart gig. A little bit hairy at times even. Great to hear Turn back in the set, even though it was not planed. Got to hear guilt live!! awasome. Once again the pre and post meet up, was up to the usual mad standards, but always entertaining. And a big shout to the nessy for the switch board manouvers. Great to see you all. See you all soon

BOATY! Oh and Clint and his good lady from Oldham.Never got to meet MINXIE,didn't know you were a red-head!
Sorry I didn't get to meet you, was a bit overwhelmed by everything
I'm naturally mousey haired(Erm...I think, been a long time since it was natural lol) Dye it red too match my feisty personality, not that any of you got to see that side of me as I was trying to stay as sober as pos for my first gig experience....Will definitely be more 'friendly' and less in my shell and more off my box next time.
