Meeting people from the Internet is actually a cracking good laugh.
- England is wet, very wet
- Canadians don't wear coats at 15 degrees

You are so.. wrong Mat, just ask Me, Ness or Lorraine next time, you are very welcome to join us. It was a shame you weren't at Wolves, Blackpool or Wembley!! I missed you x
Actually Spotnick, I asked you if you were able to understand Tim. I should know cause I wasn't drunk at that point, honest. We were just on our way to The Globe when we first met you
Anyway....
Spotnick is unable to understand me when I speak English which makes him a false nodder really...... tee hee
Wolverhampton is a shithole
:p
1 thing i found on this giddy tour is that love is found in the east & the west but the vikings love for nEW oRdEr is THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
- That NO are the best band on the planet
- That Vikings are the utterly crazy and yet at the same time some of the sanest people around
- That I should have started doing this a long, long time ago
- That I really hope there'll be more gigs soon so I can do it all over again
- That there are some nice people from Luton

- That signing every post with three kisses gets you an awful lot of kisses in rel life, mostly from blokes... Must be that Gay Train...

Snorri xxx
- Strange things happen when Jeff is around
- The Vikings are a top bunch of people (I already knew that)
- New Order can still be unpredictable sometimes
- Don’t wear white trainers in a New Order concert
- People don’t get surprised when they meet me in England anymore
- Drinking 7 or 8 pints of Grolsch is a bit too much
- My next credit card bill is going to be the highest it has ever been
- Everyone asks me about Julio all the time
- Some of them want to punch him in the face though
- The tour is not over yet
1. New Order can still produce a ****ing great gig/night after 30 years together and the band more matey with each other than ever before. 2. Organising Blue Saturday was a top event and excellent work all those who pulled it off. 3. Flight, Digital, Re:Order, Pottsy and in particular Hooky being top blokes for giving up their time to do Blue Saturday, 4. Finally seeing Hooky's DJ set which could blow off many a up themselves superstar DJ off the decks - love to get his JD/NO bootlegs. 5. Shaking Hooky's hand and getting my Wembley and Blue Saturday tickets signed by him. 6. £1.30 a pint of Carling at the ULU - Winner! 7. Meeting fellow NOOLers - Luton Order, Al Jarvo, Snorrimon, Ricardo, Mrs Disco, Tim/oldmonkey, Spotnick, lucyjane, Mrs Disco, Ricardo, Ness, and everyone else who were all top people. 8. The Vikings - mad, bad and dangerous to know but a loveable bunch all the same. 9. I should have recovered my password for the forum sooner then I could have met you mad bunch NOOLers sooner. 10. Bournemouth was a good/gig night despite the gig finishing at 10:30 and not being the special '30th Anniversary' celebration Alan Wise promised us. 11. The look on the couple's faces when they showed up with their 'special' Bournemouth tickets to do the meet and greet with the band only for security to say the guy they need to speak to wasn't in the building - priceless. 12. Hearing and seeing the soundcheck at Bournemouth before being chased by 'The Sarge'. 13. The bar price at the after show party at The Landmark in Bournemouth was extortionate but a top night all the same. 14. Not knowing as an exiled Northerner in London that Bournemouth is as far away as Birmingham. 15. Making it to the front row at Bournemouth and Wembley. 16. The security at the Liverpool gig - steroid addled ****ers who changed from seemingly nice guys to 'Incredible Hulks' in minutes! 17. Hooky caring about the fans being treated like **** by the security at the Liverpool gig and having his outburst at them - brilliant! 18. Hacienda classics like Voodoo Ray, Pacific State, Hallelujah, Go, Papua New Guinea, Stakker Humanoid, Belfast, Loaded, Hashim, Strings Of Life, Can You Feel It, Know How etc. are still great club tunes nearly 20 years on. 19. Regretting not going to the Hacienda before it closed. 20. Wanting to go to more gigs - Glasgow, Newcastle, Blackpool, Wolverhampton and more exotically Brazil, but having the cash or the holidays to do so.

HOORAY!! Bit o' SCHOFFERHOFFER or ERDINGER won't go unaccepted in this cheeky Northern chappie's fridge.
Things I've learned.....well not necessarily on THIS tour.
- NEW ORDER are STILL the greatest.
- NOOLERS are STILL not only the best fans on the planet, but the best friends on the planet.
- MISSY JEM is STILL a mad bugger, and she does the best roly polys.
- I'm gonna put some funds aside for next tour, because when the train pulled in at Wolves on way home,I was gutted not to go.
- SPOTNICK you're a gent, and your site is the MUTT'S NUTZ.Many a night I've spent typing bollox till the early hours.
- Love BLT and YOUR SILENT FACE as much as the first time I heard them.
- BLACKPOOL is ace,but the kebab houses are SHITE. That was definitely not chicken, mate.
- Would consider seeing RE-ORDER and DIGITAL a bit further afield! Top night out.
- SIX POUNDS FOR A VIKING HELMET WITH PIGTAILS?????? (in LONDON)
- I wanna do another"Neworderdisco" SOON!
Agree with much of the above, especially the gay stuff, but also learned that I am destined to always miss out on "the best New Order gig of the last 10 years".
Also, Tim, that's very sweet of you, but I am in fact male.

I've learned that we could have got a nightbus back to our digs in London at 3am instead of trying in vain to get a taxi. And also on that point that we should have obtained the numbers of taxi firms beforehand.
Oh and i'd also forgotten that Wolverhampton is such a dump
@Lucyjane
i missed you too,the problem was i can't get holidays for London. The thing with the 1st Row was this.on the Second Glasgow day i want to see more from the Concert as the day before.right to me a little girl,i dont wanne "hurt" her and i block the masses from behind. It hurts a little bit,but everything is ok.
See you next time,i hope so![]()
- Seeing New Order is the best live experience, bar non
- Travelling to Bournemouth by train from Newcastle is
not sensible - Grey squirrels like eating monkey nuts
- The pubs at Wembley are well hidden
- Bournemouth is a holiday hot spot for the over 60’s
- Glasgow is even colder than Newcastle
- Rocket Mick is indeed a legend
- I need to go to more gigs
- I need to start wearing sensible shoes for gigs
- New Order sound better when you’re pissed
- I’m nearly always pissed by the time I see New Order
- It is true that time flies when you’re having fun

.. most of the above plus
- The thought of Alan Wise turning up at Elland Road as stadium announcer is still making me laugh, thanks Mark.

Indeed. You are neither blonde nor from a different country as well!
Lets start on a positive note
1- Seeing New Order isnt as good as it used to be 2- For some reason I still feel the need to trek across the country going to see them, and feel gutted when I cant make it 3- Dave Legge is a legend 4- Welsh Darren is also a legend 5- If you order a taxi at 2345, and they say 5 minutes, you can near enough guarantee it wont show up until after Midnight to charge you extra 6- Wolverhampton is the worst town I have been in since... well.. i dunno actually 7- New Order gigs start off good and then really tail off 8- The Set List needs an urgent shake up 9- That pub in Blackpool was awful. Never thought i'd say i wish we were in The Canterbury 10- Blue Monday really does suck 11- The pre match piss ups are better than the gigs- well most of the time anyway 12- Despite all of this, I'll carry on turning up regardless.
- I'm an olympic grade fucktard for all those years I could have been going to see them and didn't.
- I still love travelling.
- Travelling no longer loves me, quite the reverse in fact.
- Londoners have become friendly[1]
- I am as unsafe as ANY woman in charge of lots of money in a big city.
- it IS possible to live on fruit juice, lucazade, 3 bites of a sandwich and half a mcchicken sandwich meal, for 3 days.
- it is NOT possible to dance and yell like a spastic for 90mins when thus fueled.
- Missy Jem is a MUCH better travelling companion than the casual observor of our favourite vimto smiled dancefloor acrobat might imagine. (she's not a patch on Romana or K9 though).
- Hotel rooms are ALWAYS too hot.
- bouremouth is a lovely place
- Wolverhampton isn't...although telling kids "fuck off this isn't America ya wee cunts" in response to "trick or treat", did endear the place to me. 12, The trains are great on the mainland.
- Until they're not, then they're REALLY bad.
- Boredom is my nemesis
- I still know one end of sound desk from t'other
- Cliff Richard is a much safer bet than NO
[1] Possibly this is related to the fact that folks what sound like me have stopped making bits of London vanish.

3.It was very nice to meet/chat to Ricardo(One Brain)How jealous I got when he said he saw Mr.Sumner... :(
4.Wembley was the best gig I have been too so far.
5.Peter Hook has a special place in my heart after Blue Saturday
but...
6.Bernard Sumner still THE ONE!!!
7.The hotel bed was sooo good after dancing the whole night!!!
8.I still want to know Ness and Peter Hook´s secret...how can they have so much energy?(Red Bull?)Ness danced the whole Saturday ALL the time.
Yeah, I received 10 after show passes... and since I didn't go to the meet-up, I didn't know who to give them to... and we were pushed out of the venue before I met everybody.
Sorry Miss Disco, I just realized that you were the other brazilian talking with Ricardo.. brain cramp, so I do remember you ;) I also introduced you both to Tin God.
Spotnick wrote: Sorry Miss Disco, I just realized that you were the other brazilian talking with Ricardo.. brain cramp, so I do remember you ;) I also introduced you both to Tin God.
Yeah, I remember that. Three of us Brazilians on NOOL Day. Weird. I was a bit drunk at that time and told Fernando to fuck off for traveling to England and not attending any of the gigs. ![]()

He lives in Sao Paulo, and went to England for NOOL Day, but it's weird to think he didn't go see New Order indeed.
He missed Pottsy actually.
Sorry to derail...
Are we talking of Fernando Lopez-de-Victoria who used to post to the old Ceremony mailing list? I used to read his posts like they were textbooks.
Is he going to be with us in Sao Paulo? I'd love to meet him.

No, Fernando Britto, aka Tin God, artists on Community 2.

Speaking for myself, not drinking too much assists dancing ability and maintaining co-ordination.
Hooky's stamina seems to be partly due to Lipton Iced Tea!! ![]()
Hang on, did someone come all the way from South America for NOOL day, and NOT see New Order?
If thats true, what a wierdo.
SHUG does know where the bar is. BURT REYNOLDS is MAD New Order are GREAT again. Girls from HORWICH should stay in more! I ain't as OLD as i used to be. NOOL's are beer monsters. TRIBUTE bands are superb. BADGES should NOT be worn in the mosh pit. There are probably 34 people i consider to be BADDER than me. I still don't know how to spell SAN HOSE. LIAM is CIVIL DIGGY MIKE has got a suntan for nothing..... UP DOWN Turnaround
And i would just LIKE to apologize to everyone.....
SHACK still has the BIGGEST record collection i have EVER seen. Regards Rocket Mick
Things I learnt...
- New Order are so great live
- Wembley arena is very far south, especially when your train is 2 hours late.
- Going to a gig with your uncle sounds naff, but is very fun in practice.
- I should have gone to the Newcastle gig as well as Wembley
- The long wait from becoming a New Order fan to going to my 1st gig was worth it
- Next tour I am going to at least 4 gigs!
- When they play Temptation....DO NOT fight the urge to dance!
- The Flight from Toronto to Gatwick is looooong.
- If you're looking for a B&B in Salisbury - you might want to think twice about The Cat.
- There is no one at the Dry Bar on weekdays.
- Taking your Honeymoon in Bournemouth to see NO is ALWAYS a fantastic idea.
- Bournemouth is picturesque, though there are A LOT of senior citizens.
- If you wear an old concert shirt from a NO tour of North America - everyone will think you are from the US.
- It is possible to ballroom-style dance to LWTUA multiple times in one evening....though maybe you shouldn't.
- Walking home thoroughly pickled from a concert in a foreign country may be a prescription for disaster.
- Daz from Gabrielles Wish is a really nice bloke - - - and he looks a bit like Ralph Fiennes (especially if you've been drinking).
- You can drink and dance like a fool in a church and not be struck by lightning.
- The train ride from Bournemouth to Edinburgh is VERY LONG when you've a hang over.
- The sound of a melodica can still bring me to tears.
- I can't wait to return and do it again.
hi- never talked to you before- just wondering if anyone knows if there will be any US tours anytime this year?
amy coleman wrote: hi- never talked to you before- just wondering if anyone knows if there will be any US tours anytime this year?
Probably by some bands, yes. Not by New Order though.
I've forgotten everything I learned in October.
Does anyone know how to get in touch with Welsh Justin who turned up in Bournemouth?
Dufford might - is he still around?
