Believe it's called 'El Whetherspoons' over there.

Just ask a plasterer or lonely old man with a carrier bag, they'll point you in the right direction same as in good old blighty !

No Wetherspoons here, but we won't have any trouble looking for a place for getting drunk

According to Shug, there's a cracking Irish bar in downtown Rio. :D

I'm in for whatever.

What's the weather going to be like? I'm guessing I'll need to dig my summer clothes back out.

Hey!

What about Brasilia and Sao Paulo? We'll share a drink and step outside...

If I was going, it'd definitely have to be on a boat... That really sorted out the post-Wembley hangover last Saturday...

I'll go wherever you decide, any bar is good for me.

Or, bus stop, or, park bench, or anywhere it's physically possible to consume alcohol!:thumb:

Where you staying, Vil ??

I guess the easiest place to catch up with us would be our hotel bar.

In Sao Paulo I think we are all staying in the Estanplaza Faria, 281 Rua Funchal.

Bonz will be there before us so she can get the beers in :thumb:

You guys will learn that, in Brazil, if you have a gathering of more than 5 people in the streets soon someone appears with a small cooler selling beer cans. We will problably get drunk right in front of the venues

That sounds good. My girlfriend and I are staying at the Mercure Apartments (111 Rua Funchal) - right beside the venue.

There's an "Irish pub" close to the venue. We can go there before the gig, possibly to say "Hey, it looks nothing like an Irish pub".

In case you are interested, the website of the bar is http://www.barcharles.com.br

It's really dangerous going to pubs with those vikings, last time I almost slept in the seat before the concert

Well in Brazil there's a chance of an authentic Irish pub experience....someone MIGHT toss in a grenade or the contents of an AK47's banana clip.

That sounds good. I have tickets to the Tuesday concert only but I'd likely show up to the Monday meet anyway.

Sorry to interrupt dudes, but what's the point on going to a pub in Brazil?

Wouldn't you rather like going to a Brazilian bar instead? And drink loads of cachaças and caipirinhas and other local poisons?

There are going to be 2 gigs in Sao Paulo, so we can go to 2 different places. If you want something more Brazilian, we can go to Maré Alta, a quite decent seafood bar. The website of this bar is http://www.barmarealta.com.br
