To relieve confusion... Our next gig will be: Feb 10th - Kingsmeadow Live, Kingston

then we have: March 4th - The Limelight, Crewe and a re:arranged date at the Dublin Castle, Camden [at present] March 31st

a new Witchwood date is being discussed

apologies, for misinformation and fuzziness. we've had a spot of bad luck with venues getting their wires crossed and putting the wrong dates in their diaries & double bookings.

Eh?!

What happened to Dublin Castle on the 9th?!

Can't make the 10th - am at a wedding.

Apologies Al there has been a major cock up with the dates and the 9th Feb was booked out to another band! The dates were doing are the ones Will has posted above.....we havent had much luck with that kind of thing lately!!!

Was considering MvC; but in view of the date promiximity; think I may give Manc a miss.

the dull exposition is that after confirming friday 9th february, one of the venue bods wrote it down as friday 9th january in the book. this then got turned into friday 5th january and we only found out about the gig (and the cock up) on tuesday. in the meantime, they'd booked out 9th feb to some other thin trousered oiks (prob'ly). sorry you won't be joining us on the 10th - hope to see you on 31/3 it's very nearly my birthday then so I shall be celebrating..... someone else can do the singing and shorts wearing

but then again!!

I'll do my very best to make Kingston on the 10th - hopefully nobody else will put a gig on that date to clash (like last time in December)...

So far, the only dates I've got booked this year:

  • 13th January - Gerald @ Amsterdam (replenish on cigarettes)! :-
  • 23rd February - Biting Tongues @ Manchester (tentative date) -17th March - 808 DJ's @ Cambridge (Eclipse night) (tentative)

Tandem! I had about a grand on it for Charity and I thought I might bottle it if I had to throw myself out!

I ended up with the young Kamikaze guy who did a backward double somersault out of the plane, I didn't know which way was up for about a minute!

(I would post pictures, but my face looks like squidged plasticine!)

And rooms by the hour, not that I'd know about that!

Failing that we'll get a huge family room and bring sleeping bags!

I'm just having a look at this Kingsmeadow Live place and it says opens at 8pm... The last time I went to Kingston was about 15 years ago so my pub knowledge isn't up to date... Anyone know a good pub between Norbiton station and the venue? I've booked Dad Cabs to take us home, so we will get to see both bands without panicking about trains home..

Am going to be in Central London most of Sat and will be drinking in Waxy O'Connor's, Leicester Square, from about 6ish. My bro's birthday, so anyone welcome. Will then make way straight to the venue.

2 points,

  1. I want pictures of the area....Kingston being one of the places detroyed by the martians in 1903, I must see the lie of the land.

  2. What about this Witchwood gig? I might come over for that (Landan is too pricey for a casual trip, and oop nort I can go visit our Jemmy too )

The Witchwood gig is off, because the future of the venue is in serious doubt. We drove past it on our way to Scunthorpe the other week and it was stood on its own, surrounded by land being prepped for office blocks.

They are playing Manchester on Easter Sunday, as part of an all day thing with loads of tribute bands, something which i'll probably give a miss actually. Then 21st April at the university supporting the Clone Roses. No doubt i'll watch Re Order and re treat to the cheap bar. Thats if i've managed to make it back from the Camden Crawl in one piece.

I can only apologise retrospectively for the utter and unrelenting verbal violation that befell you on the night. unfortunately none of it made it to the website because I can't remember a single negative word said. it's a good job the audience didn't take on our unending exhortations especially as we love you really (except when you steal setlists during gigs) and if there was any notable abuse it could be considered 'in character' teasing. thanks for coming and all the kind words after/subsequently.... xx
