Well, as I told in the main dj thread, I wasn't looking forward to this night and actually it turned out pretty good...

The place (Parking Night Club) was packed even though a 10.25$ cover charge (go figure why the 25 cents), and it seems everybody enjoyed themselves.

When I got in place at 22h45 I was spotted while crossing the door by a lurker of this website, he told me Hooky would start at 00:30, so I got myself a few beers.. at 23:15, I was sitting next to the DJ booth when Hooky arrived with his stuff... of course I recognized him right away, went to talk to him, I said "do you remember me?" then he looked up and acted surprise and said something like "I couldn't recognize you that close" but I didn't get exactly what he said then because it was very loud. I shook his hand, gave him a bunch of CDs and got one Community 2 CD signed (and I was pissed to have only one with me), he asked to keep my pens to sign the other people stuff, fine with me.

Rest of the night for me was enjoying the music and taking pictures/videos for the website... for some reason, the 4 beers I took in the first hour must have been diluted, because I didn't feel them... at the end of the night, I stand next to the DJ booth because a few people asked me to get their picture with Hooky, but when the set was over, he vanished to quickly we didn't have time to do any... so basically, I still don't have my own mandatory picture with Peter Hook  oh well, someday ;)

Ok, for the moment I uploaded the pictures to the fastest place I got, which is a sub-company of the one I work for, so it was uploaded very fast and can be seen here:

I will put them on NOOL sooner or later, and here are a few youtube videos for your own pleasure:

Enjoy!

What he played? those I knew on top of my head were:

Krafty (Morel remix) Jetstream (don't remember that remix) BLT (Crystal Method remix) The Perfect Kiss Waiting For the Sirens' Call (Tribute Mix) Transmission Love Will Tear Us Apart Blue Monday (some bootleg remix of 2004) Regret Crystal

Chemical Brothers - Galvanize & Out of Control Monaco - What Do You Want From Me The Killers - Mr Brightside The Smiths - How Soon Is Now (Some remix I never heard) Sex Pistols - Anarchy In The UK Moby - Temptation Underworld - Born Slippy Happy Mondays - 24 Hour Party People The Clash - London Calling

Most of the rest I can't possibly know... and of course, with 4 hours of sleep, I can't remember everything.

he also played what do you want from me? which was kinda nice because hearing the bassintro at parking was so... intense.

got him to sign my vinyl copy of Substance, and it was ironic how this year i am celebrating 20 years of being exposed to new order since i bought substance in 1987. he signed my poster "20 years well spent".

class.

i was bawling with tpk came on, but i think because it was the circumsized edit, along with the edit of crystal. the remix of blue monday i think it might have dj jamx & deleon, which after listening to it on my iPod this morning might be might favorite mix of BM. was it ever officially released?

new haircut , right....But, wowww, never seen before such an awful tee shirt! Really difficult to wear, indeed. another remark ( or question): how many pounds for a Hooky DJ Set ? Does the man bring a lot of money back home after his " tournée des clubs" ?

That particular Temptation cover made my ears piss blood, and I never made it to the end when I heard it.Awful tribute, considering Moby was banging on about how good it was going to be,the berk.

At the Ottawa show, Hooky played a version/remix/cover of Atmosphere that I really liked. I would be grateful if anyone knew what version it was.
