The gig in question? NO at The Hacienda in 1984,the Low-Life tour. It was also my first hand experience of not only going to a gig that didn't have seats (ie Manchester Apollo), but the first gig where I was in a mosh-pit,and crushed against the stage. You can tell how close I was by Gillian's photo.:love2:

Anyway here they are.Watch out for my other live photos which I've finally got round to transferring to disc.

The gig where Tony Wilson came on stage after a bit of pushing and shoving, and said,"Come on...get back. They're a bunch of ugly bastards anyway..."

Want to add these to the smallish gig image bank I'm compiling here. Some of these some of you may not have seen before. Yes, the first set isn't of New Order but some band most of the group were in before. :)

How wonderful these pictures are!!! I wish I lived in Manchester during those days, but alas I was in the US and I got to see NO during their Low Life Tour at the UNiversity of Pennsylvania and I never got as close as those pictures. I will relish these for eternity. It's amazing how our bodies change when we get old. It sucks actually. I wish we could all stay young and thin and shiny. Anyway, thanks for posting. Cheers.

Erk....that was 11 days before I was even born! I hate the fact I missed the 80s, they seem like it was a fun time (but with questionable hairstyles!)

I think some more photies from the Spectrum Arena may have survived. I'll ask my mate. He took them. If they're any good I'll email them to you.:thumb:

Good photos. My first New Order gig was at the Leisure Centre in Gloucster, it was on a Sunday, cos I couldn't get a drink afterwards. BTW Just watched Control again at the Curzon in Soho. The first time I saw it there were 21 people, this time there were 17 people, not bad considering no where else in central London is showing the movie. When I saw 24HPP in Greenwich, there were only 2 people, and I thought that was 1 too many.

Sorry I Meant to include that the first New Order gig was in August 1984.

Gloucester was a good 'un, loud and messy, but fun.

Joy Division's Salford photo session t-shirt? :brow:

Yes. And proof that they owned more than one Shergold Masquerader. Different pick-ups on the one Gillian is using.....
