Would an all=day disco featuring the likes of JD and NO,no admission fee,in a pub situated near Eccles metrolink be an attractive propostion? It's last orders at 11.00 music finishes at 11.30,which still leaves you time to get into town for some serious drinking. And it'd be all day!!

I've got people coming to replace my Boiler on 17th so I'm hoping to spend 18th finally putting floorboards down in my Bathroom.

Getting ratted in Eccles sounds much more appealing :\ohwell:

Landlord at my Dj place of work pretty much gives me free reign on my playlist,it's very big pub,and it#s free admission.Regular pub prices.I'm already playing loads of indie anyway. Just wondered about instigating a mini "neworderdisco". Like I said the pub The Oddfellows Arms just a minutes walk away from Eccles Metrolink station, and it's about £1.20 return from Manchester. I normally start dj-ing 8pm,but enough people are interested,I'll start mid afternoon! If not ,I'll be Dj-ing anyway, and I'll be going up to Ian's grave on Friday dinner if anyone's interested?

I would... if I was on YOUR side of the Pond. :(

[Alas, I must spend Ian Curtis Day on U.S. soil, listening to Warsaw vs. Joy Division. :nonono: I really need to find some fellow NOOLers here somewhere. Maybe Buffy can swing to my town and visit? I kinda doubt it though...]

yeah, i live across the pond too...but i am going to listen to joy division/new order throughout the day while i make jewelry. may make a jd bracelet...

shouldn't ian curtis day be on july 15th rather than may 18th. i feel like we should be celebrating his life rather than death....

Decided not to bother with the all-dayer now.But I'm still doing an INDIE night though if anyone's passing through.

Watch out for a proper "neworderdisco" in the next couple of months though.... (might be a Thursday though)
