I think you missed the point of the thread. they're talking about a NEW bassist - there's no use posting pictures of hooky up and saying 'this one?'

I've got nothing to say, but would like to point out that both of them posts were better before you edited them.
(Couldn't have been much worse!)

No offense to Gillian of course, but New Order without Peter Hook is not New Order. If Bernard and Stephen continue without Hooky, they should choose another moniker.

Cheers Big Al, but I think that me in New Order would probably be as popular as that blonde geezer replacement for Hugh Cornwell in The Stranglers........
He got death threats and now permanently props up the M6 toll road. No thanks!

Naomi from Galaxie 500. She was quite influenced by Hooky, and she's a girl, so it'd be like Gillian playing bass except with skill.
My first choice would be Jack. The alternative would be for the other three members to create a bass sound effect with an electric keyboard. In both situations, however, the moniker should be changed. That is an inevitable fact.

its not inevitable, and its not fact, cos it hasnt happened. Gillian sneaked out the door without a name change.
And they can get another bass player other than Jack you know. Its not all keyboards out there. People can still play bass, even in the style of Hooky.

bob was stand in but he ended up with banshees for a long time actually.in fact out of the 9 times i saw them i reckon he was bass player about 3 times.i bet he did siouxsie hard post gig as well,BEING THE RAMPANT MAN THAT HE IS ![]()
If push comes to shove I'll drag the old '69 Fender Jazz out from under the stairs. Been there since Damon 'Badly Drawn Bastard' Gough sacked me in autumn '94. I was tonnes better than Jimi Goodwin anyway. He was like a flamin' slothe playin bass. But then again look where he is!
Ah well his loss.:( :(
is there any real news about this, actualy ?Any way i think N.O should better stop playing now. They've done so much good music, do u really thing they have still the energy and the envy to write new songs ? I don't say "interesting songs"?I'm not sure...After such a long career they can be retired instead of giving us a kind of selfparody... this is a part of my point of view. Of course, as a fan from more than 27 years now, i still want them to be with us - but they are with us, in our memories and that's maybe more important than another Jetstream
. AS Hooky said me,last June "There's no future for N.O". I agree with him.Sorry.
