Three cheers for Hooky for a great night at Drummonds.
Great set - quite a departure from his normal stuff. Reggae early on, a big band set in the middle and ending with all-out jazz. There were some surprised faces, but I think we all felt that our admission fee was well-spent.
Massive surprise to hear all the new NO tracks - that was a fucking bonus - and thanks to Hooky for giving me the CDR with the tracks on. For the record, they sound great - looking forward to the release of those.
Sadly, this review is made up - we only stayed for a couple then made off to Jimmy's 30th. But good to see H back in Aberdeen, and the new Lionel looks sharp, H ![]()
