Yes it is. No one from Manchester knows anything on this board. You want to ask one of Americans
I could also suggest a support band for the London date - one that was around the same time as Magazine.....
Both gigs definitely happening - the Forum have advertised the London date but no tkts as yet.....

He's right you know. C4 teletext just put the dates up. Tickets not on sale till september.
Now, what are those lottery numbers for Saturday then?

j99 wrote: Any idea who the replacement is for John McGeoch?
on another music forum someone was saying it is going to be a ' special guest ' in place of john.
people always start with that one though dont they
![]()
Marc Riley was saying he knew who it was on his BBC6 show but was sworn to secrecy - adding "You won't be disappointed"
If you take a look at that video of Definitive Gaze and particularly, the last 30 seconds, McGeoch is a dead ringer for Steve Jones. Who copied that action from Johnny Thunders (right, Banshee?). I suspect Steve Jones might step in.
Are they going to be playing songs from their four albums? Playing "Real Life" and "Secondhand Daylight" back to back would make a great gig.

I don't think I'll travel down to the gigs (I'm in Scotland) but I am interested in them as far as setlists, line ups are concerned.
Another question: Are they just doing a few gigs or are they going to be recording new material?
just seen this, been hols for last 10 days..so i have to ask this..who's doing manc? ,and who's doing london??
me and my bro got tickets for friday 13th at london forum.
anyone else going ?
someone must surely know who the 'special guest' is in place of the legend john
it will be ace, cant bloody wait ![]()
if anyone going lets have a pre gig ![]()
Another reason for me to be jealous/bitter in the U.S. of A. What do you think the chances of Howard et al doing somethng in the summer, like when some of us could actually make a trip over?
thank you ( falettinme be mice elf agin)
i was also going to put that on here on here at some point.![]()
anyone going london forum 13th ?
'Howard, it's your last chance to be venerable' Howard Devoto, the man who brought punk to Manchester, tells Dave Simpson about his troubles, his triumphs - and why it's the right time for a Magazine reunion:

Yeah, that's the kiddy. Might be a different pub though, Alex is going out drinking with the Third Battalion somewhere round there! ![]()
I ain't got your number now (got dipped in Rome and lost Sim card) so can't let you know where we are - I'm still on the old number though.
Can someone buy me a drink? I've left my wallet at home. Doh. :\ohwell:
cracking gig.good setlist.very muted crowd though.
best bit was the train home today
magazine got on my train back to manchester at dinner time so i went to the bottom of the carrage to shake all their hands.
when we landed at manc piccadilly i spotted the band go down the lift to the taxi rank,so i got the lift down and saw howard devoto getting into the back of a black cab.i was still tipsy from the night before and i got in the other side of his cab while phoning monty on my mobile.devoto jumped out of his skin when i suddenly appeared next to him in his cab. i said to devoto ' say hello to my mate monty ' and gave him my phone,he said ' hello monty ' in a sarcastic tone.so i said ' thats not good enough, say hello again!! ' he did.
then i phoned my brother and said ' right say hello to my brother now ' it was like an alan partridge moment with his stalker.when i got out i half expected him to shout MENTALIST out his cab window
oopps this is mad i now see
