Been talking to young Alistair about a longer trip to Barcelona next year, same time of year for Summercase (and erm... Benicassim maybe) and thinking of getting an apartment rented for a week.
Obviously, there are a shitload available but pricing up if its 8 to an apartment then it works out about 25 Euro per person, per night.
If anyone else is interested let me know in this thread and i'll som some further research.

This year we had 42 Euro a night and person in a twin room in a four star hotel with a distance of a 10 minutes walk to the festival. I'll prefer a hotel again.

Very important tmake the most of Summercase 2009 Liam as you'll be teaching the following year and you'll be unlikely to make all (if any) of it! 
I am aware of that, but for 2010 i've got my eye on the Sziget festival in Hungary which takes place mid August. Apparently, Budapest is quite a nice place to spend a week.
