With an orchestra and in a church, could be good this.

Anyone fancy it?

I've been to see UNKLE 3 times now but have never actually been able to see when I've got there!

Lovely place for a gig!

Not around for UNKLE but could sink a few swift pints early doors somewhere central.

I am in London all that week but I have a party on the 18th :(

However Emily and I will be partaking in a few civalised drinks on the Friday if you are still around. The more the merrier

Too close to Glasgee, so I can't do it.

I'll see them one day!

Yup, quality venue in Islington that - Bert probably knows more than me about it ( :) ), but I witnessed an Orb DJ date some years ago there...

Did I tell you that story?

Aye. I spent best part of a week in Essex following on from a Sunday afternoon in that place.

It's a top venue from what i remember. Confessional box and everything. :thumb:

Is one full evening in the box enough for your sins though, Burt?

I bought a ticket on Sunday as per Jert's suggestion... driving up to Scotland for Chrimbo the day after so might as well end '08 in London with an UNKLE gig.

Yup. Other end of Islington to the Academy, mind, but not exactly far.

I get into Lahndan about 2.30pm, will dump my stuff in Islington, then might head over to Camden. Always fancied havin' a ganders at that boozer Jon Carter owns, The Lock Tavern, if anyone wants to get involved?

Other than that what suggestions are there for a pre-gig beverage?

Nothing like leaving it to the last minute - just sorted the shift off. Need to pop into the office at Baker Street around lunchtime and then i'll come meet you in Camden :thumb:

Still not sure what the bloody hell was happening last night. Next we'll get The Chemical Brothers re-interpreted with an orchestra.

Beautiful venue though. Sound was spot on, for the three songs we watched.

Still feel a bit weird buying beers in a place of worship though.
