Nottingham for me:) I get made redundant the day before, so I'll be drinking blackcurrant and soda.

How about playing something uplifting for me?

I work at Stealth/Rescue Rooms and it's quite a good live venue- the beer isn't the best though; the only decent bitter is (chilled) bottles of black sheep for £4 a pop. My advice would be the Zatec Czech lager for £3 a pint. I'm begging the management to let me out of Stealth for that Saturday night so I can work it. I'll hopefully be behind the bar in my Kraftwerk t-shirt.

In the ensuing club night (main bar especially) there are lots of very nice ladies, if a bit too cool for school; their looks distorted by pudding bowel haircuts and man shoes but the only competition you'll have is a few beard stroking trendies/overgrown 'Skins' kids.

My friend has just rang the hotel in Nottingham and apparently the snow is really bad down there. So much so, that guests have been snowed in and had to stay on longer. The trains aren't running either.

Hopefully it will have cleared up a bit by weekend.

It had better!

Its awful here; the schools have all closed again (except for Michael's) but couldn't get up the hill to leave the house anyway - and 11 miles is a long way to walk!

I will keep checking, but will have to make a final decision on Saturday morning, as I only have up to midday to cancel the hotel.

Bit of optimism is required I think! They always get it wrong...........don't they?
