OK, who else is in?

Pet Shop Boys have announced details of two UK gigs for the summer.

The duo will play live at the Manchester Apollo on June 18 and at the London O2 Arena on June 19.

The news comes after the band picked up the Outstanding Contribution To Music award at the BRITs last night (February 19) and performed at the event.

Tickets for the June gigs go on stage tomorrow (February 20) at 9am (GMT).

The band's new album, 'Yes', is released in March, and was produced by the Xenomania team behind Girls Aloud's hits.

I don't like the Pet Shop Boys - I LOVE them, and adore them!

And when my time comes I, for one, shall be bopping my socks out my coffin in the church to 'Always On My Mind' - the 14 minute remix though, twice (because I have a feeling that at the pearly gates I may be there for some time answering more than a few questions, but eventually i'll do a runner and flash my Arsenal season ticket through the electronic turnstile, bunk the gates and get through)

Anyone that knows me well knows that i've a long standing history with PSB. Personally, they never fail to get me up and dancing, be it on my own, on the tube, on the bus, on the street or with my pals etc....I have no fear, and if any music can do that to you (NEW FUCKING ORDER) - you're living your life!

I shall be at both gigs with lots of mates, and especially this time, i'll be dancing even more - in memory of all my friends i've lost the past few years.............come have a dance with me - but only if you're sure that you're hard enough!

I was busy working on Friday, so minus any time for internet stuff. I've also realised that the 19th is when I'm off for a 2 week holiday... :banghead:

(Was attempting to find a two week period that would avoid the Orbital warm-up gigs - early June - and avoid Summercase - late July - if that happens)...

And then I noticed the Pet Shop Boys London date... Aarrghhh....

A unique CD, "Pet Shop Boys Story", will be given away in the UK next Sunday, March 8th, with the Mail On Sunday newspaper. The 11-track career retrospective starts with the rare 10-inch mix of "West End girls" and concludes with a preview of "Did you see me coming?" from the forthcoming new album, "Yes". The cover artwork is designed by Farrow and 2.2 million copies will be distributed following a TV advertising campaign.

The full track-listing is:

  1. West End girls (10" mix)
  2. Paninaro (7" mix)
  3. It's a sin (Disco mix)
  4. What have I done to deserve this? (7" mix)
  5. Jealousy (7" mix)
  6. Being boring (7" mix)
  7. Go West (7" mix)
  8. Before (7" mix)
  9. Home and dry (7" mix)
  10. Flamboyant (7" mix)
  11. Did you see me coming?

In recent years the Mail on Sunday has included free CDs by, amongst others, John Lennon, David Bowie, Prince, Genesis, Tina Turner and soundtracks to the musicals "West Side Story" and "Oliver!".
