Manchester's biggest charity concert, Versus Cancer, is back for the fourth year running. This year's event, which raises money for local cancer charities, will take place at the MEN Arena on December 12.

The show is all about star-studded collaborations and the first names to be announced are Peter Hook, former Joy Division and New Order bassist, Andy Rourke of The Smiths, and Tim Booth, Jim Glennie and Larry Gott from local legends James. The artists will all perform with a full orchestra, courtesy of composer Joe Duddell, who worked with Elbow on their recent Bridgewater Hall shows.

Aye, heard it on the radio last night.

Isn't this the same night as the Factory Night in Brussels? I thought Hooky was at that. Could be wrong.

Will this be the live debut of Freebass? And as MVC is famous for its collaborations - wonder if a collaboration between Freebass and Bad Lieutenant is in the offing?

Just a thought...
