I'll be at the US debut in San Francisco. Who else is going?

Alright...just got tickets and flight for the Chicago show, not bringing the wife this time, although she had a blast at the NYC show in 2005. Bringing a buddy who loves JD, NO, et al....but has never seen Bernard before.

So, Vikings, i know i met a few of you at TGIF's before the NYC, are any of you coming to Chicago to see BL? if so, let hook up again before and quaff a few down!

Spotnik, I think you were there too.

Cheers all

Well, they're both playing Coachella...but I've opted to go a la carte: Bad Lieutenant on the 16th, Phoenix on the 17th and the Bunnymen on the 19th.

I would have preferred to check out Delphic on the 17th but the Girlfriend had her heart set on Phoenix. Hopefully Delphic will come back when their album is released Stateside.

Just bought 2 tix to SF show.

Any rec for places to stay nearby? I found Hotel Carlton, Vertigo and good ol' Holiday Inn. Any where else I should look into as well?

$100/night budget. :p

I've stayed at the Vertigo, Carlton and Cathedral Hill Hotels. Cathedral Hill will probably be the cheapest. They also have their own parking beneath so the fees will be less. Expect to pay around $25 at the other two places. Hotel Vertigo is the nicest of the three but unless you do something like Priceline, you won't get out for less than $150.

Andy, appreciate the feedback. We will be flying in from LA so parking won't be a concern. I saw a $80/night deal @ Vertigo about 2 weeks ago but missed it. :(

Had it all planned to go to Chicago, meet up with my Barneys Angels buddies & eat a lot of good food. Just this week, they fired someone for going on a cruise using sick leave The joys of being a teacher. No summer shows..great.

Wow...that's rough. :( What happens if you use up all your sick leave and you are still sick?

Our company has a PTO (paid time off) sys. You can use it for sick, vacation, bereavement or just sitting at home staring at the ceiling.

They do shared leave & stuff like that. I could give someone some of my 3 months of sick leave I've got saved up...

That's the same term (PTO) Whole Foods Market uses. Do you work for them as well?

I'm going to the Chicago show with 3 of my friends...it's a real reunion of sorts. I've known two of them for 30 years...ironic with May 18th comming up and all.

Is there an AfterParty for this show? I went to the AfterParty show for the Apr 25 1989 in Mesa, Az and it was a blast :-)
