Ok, who's coming out for this one?

Any suggestion for a pre-gig meet? And post gig entertainment!

Am staying in the loop so any guidance on best route to the gig would be appreciated!

And while I'm asking for info, I hit Chicago on Friday afternoon, is there anything good happening this weekend I might want to check out? Gigs etc.

Sounds interesting for post-gig.

The Smart Bar is where Hooky DJ'd in '05. Small basement gaff owned by the promoter who Barney wheeled out on stage at the Aragon Ballroom. This is where Gordie met his companion for the evening!.

Guys -- Is our gig going to happen? They've just announced Coachella is cancelled -- starting to get worried. Trying not to lose faith.

why the fuck they don't say once and for all that they won't happen??? i mean, day by day they will cancel them???

however somebody already told me they are not going to happen :(

I completely feel your frustration too -- but I gotta believe they are really trying to work it out. I don't see what benefit they would have to purposefully not tell us the gigs won't happen. I think there is utter chaos in the UK right now regarding air travel. I should think they would know by Sunday morning if they are coming are not, right? I plan not to make the trip up from Texas if the show is canceled...my flight up is Sunday morning...

i'll wait till tomorrow night at 19:00 pm to decide.Anyway tomorrow i'll start my trip....i live in small town called Tunja, so i have to go to Bogotá...where my flight will come from on sunday early morning, then Miami, and finally chicago.

I was noticed twice this afternoon that the band won't come to the States by the manegement of the band, however i'll wait for a confirmation on the website.

You are pretty connected! What notice do you receive? You have quite a journey, so I understand your frustration. My trip up from Houston is not so difficult. I should stop my complaining!

" BAD LIEUTENANT CANCELS REMAINING U.S. CONCERT DATES LOS ANGELES, CA - Saturday, April 17, 2010 -- With air travel out of the UK and Europe still at a standstill, and conditions predicted to deteriorate further due to the huge cloud of volcanic ash from Iceland's Eyjafjallajokull, the members of Bad Lieutenant and their management have come to the disappointing decision to cancel their Chicago and New York dates that had been set to take place on Monday, April 19 and Wednesday, April 21, respectively.

"We're stuck in Manchester," said Bad Lieutenant's Bernard Sumner. "We were hoping that conditions might change at the last minute and we'd be able to come and play for our fans. Obviously, this is a situation out of everyone's control, and we are crushed that we won't be coming to America for these dates."

Since British air space was closed on Thursday morning, the band also canceled their planned appearances in San Francisco last night and today at the Coachella festival near Palm Springs, CA.

Refunds will be available for ticket holder at the point of purchase."
