Extra dates added. Edinburgh

On bbc6, New Order have added Edinburgh Usher Hall the night after Glasgow. When was last time they played Edinburgh - 1985 Caley Palais?

1986 Playhouse Theatre, after which Bernard vowed to never set foot in Edinburgh ever again!

Any idea wher & when tickets go on sale for this one ?

Poor venue IMO, more used to classical and folk music. I see they've got The Hollies and The Osmonds in April.

Mind you, will be surprised if there's a repeat of Edinburgh 1985 & 86 when they played 6-7 new songs both times. Playhouse '86 could have heard a pin drop between songs.

Is there any standing in the usher.? Last time I was in there, it was all seated.?

not a great venue tbh. Its got standing in front of stage but it like a big bowl with seating upstairs.

just got a couple of standing direct from Usher Hall website.

Now, if someone can lend me a helicopter, I can get from Glasgow Sunday morning to Anfield for a 2pm kickoff and back to Edinburgh for the gig after the final whistle.

Anyone know if it's seated for all gigs? From an admittedly shit memory, I don't remember it being the sort of place where seats could be removed? Old skool concert hall I think?

1994 - Me too - the venue kind of suited the Cocteaus, though my memory of the gig is a bit hazy.

The last 2 Edinburgh gigs I attended were like chalk & cheese- Caley Palais 1985 was lively enough, the Playhouse gig the following year was, well, best forgotten. Shite crowd. Glad Bernard has had a change of heart..!

Just got my tickets for Edinburgh and the t in the park date !!! :) that will do for now !
