couldn't believe it when I got my Lokeren newsletter yesterday. I did eventually stop bouncing off the walls :)
Cost of transport in/out of the UK (London, especially) during the Olympics are currently sitting at silly prices.
Eurostar not released their prices for this period yet, but can't imagine there's any bargains to be had.
P&O NSF £263.00 (foot passengers) based on two sharing, out 9th into zeebrugge, back 11th into Hull. Overnight sailing each way, bloody good laugh, especially in school hols !! includes transfers to and from z'b to bruge by coach or KLM from Humberside out 10th, back 13th into Amsterdam £120 each.
If flights in and out of amsterdam and rotterdam are cheaper. Its only 9 euro to get the bus return if booked up in advance with eurolines.

Can't confirm this. Matthias and I will fly in at August 12th and return next early morning for the usual prices, but no hotel because of the prices.
just found out P.I.L. and Echo and the Bunnymen are playing on the Thursday :) still plenty of gaps so who knows what other gems they can come up with...

Any tips on accomodation for this, Geri?
Eurostar prices are out now and look reasonable.
not really Al. It's in the middle of nowhere, but according to the Lokeren site there are a few hotels around. None that I know though. I know Tim stayed in Beveren some years back, that may be an option but you'll be bussing it to Lokeren then.

Indeed, does seem to be a bit of a one-horse town.
Only found two hotels online!
All booked up though now. Let's hope we don't get rain like Leuven. That was mental. ![]()
ibis sint nicklaas centrum 50.85 double room and 8.1 miles from lokeren. TAXI via www.booking.com
The Charlatans have been added on the same day, unfortunately they're first on. wasn't planning on going that early, but I may reconsider :)
edit: I think I have misread the listing (would be so much nicer to see some times on there). It could be that The Charlatans are the headliners, which means New Order are on second so I will have to be early :\ohwell:

A bit confusing, their listing...it says Charlatans, Royksopp, New Order, Trentemoller. Looks more like every new name gets on top of the list, but there's no indication whatsoever that this is to be the actual order of appearance...![]()
