And BLT plus Transmish and LWTUA the other way round. Top night at the front but not sure about in the Heavens

Ace gig? What gig were you at?
The sound was horrific, the band sounded flat for the first half (Age of Consent particularly)and there wasn't much atmosphere. A wasted £40.
I was really looking forward to seeing them given what people have been saying of late but it had no balls at all. It missed Hooky massively.
NO have been my favourite band for over 25 years but i think its time they called it a day.

Eh? Which gig were you at. It was fucking magical down the front, fantastic atmosphere and completely wild in the mosh pit
Front row, near Gillian, a bit away from the pit, but had a great night. Good gig - nice to hear Here To Stay, was hoping for Round and Round or something off Technique but never mind!
Dropping Krafty and 1963 from the Troxy set list was a good move, would like to see Blue Monday and LWTU go the same way, but I guess that's never gonna happen ....

i was upstairs near the back and you couln't hear the bass at all or gillians synths
they did sound flat on aoc, love vig and wftsc for me
enjoyed it though still, pity i couldn't get a standing ticket
and pity i was sober for the first time ever at a new order gig:D

I was near the back. It sounds like a different gig depending where you were stood. The sound had way too much bass and it wasn't even that loud. I couldn't even tell what True Faith was until just before Barney started singing. Very disappointing. There wasn't that many people clapping so it can't just have been my cauliflower ears

Gig was good but sound was strange, from where i was sat, toms bass started out at almost hooky volume, then vitually disappeared half way thru the set only to reappear near the end..v odd, here to stay suffered from the duff sound the most...going again tonight hopefully sound is better downstairs!!
still can't decide if completely shit or just shit faced, great fun down front, almost like an 80's gig in the pit but without the 80's songs.
see you all sunday, and yes I missed the 06,20 train, another £40 quid to get back to work for 10,00, hey, but that's stella for you.
I agree with the sound at the back at the top end was feeding back rather than coming across with clarity. Can't blame the band though. Good set list but no surprises. I was hoping for something that they haven't played at all recently. Wishing I was going tonight too in case they pull something out the bag. Vanishing Point would be good.
Some films from last night. Of varying quality.
And yes, I was the boring / miserable bastard filming it !

Thanks for taking the trouble...
Thanks for the videos! This is definitely the sloppiest they have sounded since getting back together....Bernard sound like he is trashed!
Great to see that Gillian's Roland XP-80 has been replaces with a Roland Fantom..great synth!

Bernard is having problems on Waiting For The Sirens Call but maybe it will work out better for them on the next night.. i.e. Hopefully they don't drop it from the set.

They actually sounded pretty good, the mix was a little muddy, more likely down to the venue acoustics, Bernards banter seems to have dried up, but his screams were spot on, I should think his throat will be a little sore tonight.
Terrible at the back, centre, towards the bar. Couldn't hear Bernard, no bass, no syn, feedback, echoing.
Erm..... May have been the venue, I'd sack the guy on the mixing desk, and it's slightly put me off going to see them again. Shame as the live stuff I had heard in the last few months sounded great.

Wish you were right but it won't happen, I'm afraid. Hooky's lot will play those old gems before Barney's Band ever does. I'm sorry that's the way things have turned out. ![]()

Yeah Vanishing Point is a favourite of mine. They hardly ever play anything from Technique. Why, I don't know, it's their best album IMO.
I'm going to the Edinburgh gig on Sunday, hopefully these sound problems are put right.

Yep, in the same order. ![]()
If you don't watch anything else I've filmed, watch this one.
Superb, superb version imo.
Look at that crowd !
