I hesitate to do this, as the band no doubt work hard to bring us these shows. But curiosity is getting the better of me.

Pick which track you would choose to drop from the current set, and then post your choice of replacement. Also, it doesn't necessarily mean banned forever, it could just be a track that isn't a must for every gig.

Due to poll limitations, I've had to narrow it to 10 tracks. I'm not including the Music Complete tracks, along with 4 others that I feel should remain (hey, someone has to do it).

I actually wish they'd go back to saving Joy Division tracks for special occasions, but chose Blue Monday. They can play both Atmosphere and Love Will Tear Us Apart in the same amount of time as one B.M. (so to speak).

My track to add to the set in it's place is Mr. Disco. Their finest dance track (I'm happy to hear arguments against this statement). Disclaimer: To hear that track live again (with it's bassline commanding you to move) may result in my own personal B.M.

TBTHOG was played a couple of times last year, no? So we've had that quite recently. As for the JD songs, I don't mind them so much in the encore. It was when there were 5 or 6 of them in the main set that it bothered me.

Personally I voted for 586 to be dropped. I really like their updating of it, but they've done it pretty much every gig for the last 4 years. They could easily drop it to every 3rd or 4th gig and free up a bit of space in the set...

As for what to replace it with... until a few days ago, I would have said Lonesome Tonight, but my wish has already been fulfilled! I'd love for them to do some of the earlier guitary stuff like Leave Me Alone, IALP, Chosen Time, ICB or Denial, but that doesn't really fit in with their current policy of doing a really danceable set. So perhaps they could do an updated version of Everything's Gone Green/Hurt/Confusion/Fine Time/Vanishing Point - any one of those would really benefit from the '586' treatment, so to speak, and could sound cracking live- Fine Time in particular would fit right in alongside Tutti Frutti, People on the High Line.

drop: blue monday! bring back: i have a hard time choosing between mr. disco (if i make this choice then it's exactly the same as andy's, and i totally agree with you!) and everyone everywhere...

drop: BM (occasionally) bring back: Procession/Everything's gone green. Or, do Run, because with both Gillian and Phil, it would sound much fuller live.

I have never liked BS singing Joy Division songs… drop them… please!

I think they should come on stage to Blue Monday… would be great way to start… just drums playing… then one by one come on and start adding parts to it… wind the crowd up.

Add? Turn, Procession, Academic.

Mute records hopefully will record every different song played live for a year or so , and release them . Neworder is probably rehearsing 40 or 50 old songs. everyone everywhere segueing into everything 's gone green counts as one , and turntheheateronmy way also just one song. Hopefully neworder has a decade more , at least, to work hard for us , writing massively innovative and moving music, with lyrics and vocals seemingly awkward and often described as inept, but in reality as assuredly apt and Profoundly beautiful as any by any songwriter ever.

More chance of me winning the lottery tonight, and I forgot to buy a ticket.

Rehearsals will have been 25 songs tops, and they've played 19 of them already.

I think Tim is spot on w 25 songs tops. This is not The Light where they play everything. I will take the unpopular stance that NO will do the minimum it needs to to make the tour work.

A bit disappointed w WFTSC done rather electronica in Stockholm. So drop that one or rework it, or go back to original version

Drop any of the Joy Div stuff - I voted Atmos - or BLT which isn't on the list. Add anything off Technique or Thieves Like Us

Sad to say it, but Age of Consent.

It's too slow, way too slow. One of their finest / most passionate moments, and it's a dull stroll now.

Surprised someone has suggested BLT - the new version is utterly fantastic. That opening has completed rejuvenated a rather tired sound. Well done them.

Agree with the AOC comment.

I would also drop the 2 JD songs.

Add Fine Time, Dream Attack, Leave Me Alone, and one more to hit a even 20 songs, Thieves Like Us.

First time I'd even thought of saying it after seeing New Order live over the last fifteen years or so, but if they can rest Regret and Crystal, then it's time to give BM a well earned rest too - I wasn't expecting any more songs when they started playing it at the end of the night on Monday but I took that as a cue to go and use the toilet and beat the rush out of the door rather than staying right to the end - if you haven't seen New Order live before then yes, you should expect to hear Blue Monday but I got the impression the vast majority of the audience had seen them before, and as such, have heard BM before too (and it's not the kind of song you can give a radical reworking to live either)

Blue Monday and Waiting For the Sirens' Call currently leading the poll. Unfortunately, Crystal (tied for 3rd) and Age of Consent (tied for 6th) are the only tracks actually being dropped. Do you think it's merely a musical choice, or something technical (i.e., projections)?

Before the Liverpool gig, I would have nominated Crystal for the drop (but my browser won't let me vote for some reason) - I'm now glad I didn't nominate it though.

Also, they've totally reworked Sirens and it sounds brilliant - there's no way it should be dropped.

Looking forward to a live CD a la Troxy & Bestival...

I really dislike the live version of "True Faith" they've been doing based on the 94 Perfecto mix. It just drags on way too long and sounds forcefully overblown to me. It would nice to see them drop this particular version in favor of the shorter version they were performing in the 80s.

Curious to see how the set has evolved since last year.

You seem to be on the right track as Bernard mentioned in an interview recently that they'd rehearsed Academic and Superheated...

As crystal allows for me and bernard to have a deep heartfelt one-sided conversation ( he never hears my reply,"yes Mr sumner, or what is it barny?" to his concerned 'keep it coming') it is ok to stop it . It is my opinion that they play a festival such as glastonbury , and as the only band invited and playing they play all our personal faves, everything we want to hear, such as a 15 minute dream attack, turn the heater on, recoil, draculas castle, etc, etc, etc, and film it record it sell it, plus an added disc with outtakes, directors cut ,features such as bernard and iggy and brandon and Steven singing the dwarves song from hobbit 1

At this point it's serious. I am genuinely worried for Keepitcoming's sanity. eating a munchie monkey with bernard and gilliane good yes but fire in my thighs i would want too late factory years in barnsley not pineapple face though swarms of health enter stephen, the large soul of green but that was tomorrow tomorrow peter hook is fine and gone but here crystal face up pineapples, ian wouldn't agree.

Even Liz Fraser in her prime fruitcake lyrics made more sense than you.

Still , good entertainment and what a boring world it would be if everything made sense.

don't actually want them to 'drop' anything but just.. rotate the set a bit more.

Think of the songs they've only played occasionally - or dropped recently - before never playing them again ..

Since 2011 alone, this has included Thieves Like Us, TBHOG, Round & Round, Californian Grass, Love Vigilantes, Here To Stay, I'll Stay With You, 1963, Heart & Soul.

It would be quite pleasant if say two of these songs were rotated every five nights so we'd get some variation, as opposed to the same 16 songs in the same order 16 shows in a row.
